For all you T300 users who are struggling with the FFB.
After way too many hours trying to fix the washed out FFB and also trying custom ffb files I finally managed figured it out.

Setting Damper and Spring to 0 has finally fixed the FFB for me. I can feel all the details and weight of the car perfectly now. In game settings are more down to personal taste but if you start with defaults you'll already have great FFB. Just fine tune in game gain, LFB and FX to taste.

    Driver:
Gain 75 (more linear and detailed) or 100 (stronger forces with clipping)
    Constant 100
    Periodic 100
    Spring 0 (IMPORTANT)
    Damper 0 (IMPORTANT)

    In game: Default
Use this as a starting point or tune to taste. Bind keys to change per car gain up or down from 95. It gives you finer control too.

    Gain 75
    LFB 30
    FX 50
    Damp 0

    Valid for V1.2.0.5

Interesting, I use a TM TX.
Someone on another forum mentioned turning off dampening as they claimed it wasn't working properly.
I asked the devs for confirmation on the topic but have yet to get a response.

I can admit I tried it with Dampening set to zero, but to be honest I thought it felt loose, slightly delayed and felt just odd to my liking.

I'm not saying there is or isn't an issue and FFB is a total subjective personal preference to start with. Tho I will admit and have noticed several issues with thrustmaster wheels across several sims of late.
Raceroom has a bug with flatspots on some TM wheels that destroys the suspension and causes the wheel to oscillate left to right before pulling full lock in one direction.
ACC for me has little to no front end feel and is VERY light compared to other titles and feels more or less like a rubber band that turns on and off to represent grip.

It would be nice if the the devs could confirm if there is or isn't an issue with dampening.

On the T300 dampening definitely causes major clipping and loss of signal. Are you using LFB to remove the looseness?

That post is very out dated and refers to a build that's almost a year old. I've actually read the whole thing. Lots has changed since then. There is no mention of in game damper. I really wish renato-simioni would update it and include base settings for thrustmaster.

Using spring with custom file feels off . Lacks the subtle details and feel of tires with it active.

There was a mention about having damper off by Renoto after a major update somewhere, might have been in the update threads.

    Thanks, here it is.

    * We recommend using damping in game vs on wheel setting. Damping in game scales with vehicle, so roughly same level for all cars. On wheel / driver damping doesn't scale with wheel gain, so if you have gain too low, damping will overwhelm FFB signal.

I felt that too with custom ffb. Seems to work differently.

    Do you have soft-lock?
My T150 wheel does not lock with the cars steering lock, I can turn my wheel further and further till the end without any change in FFB (in AMS1 FFB raised to max when cars steering range was reached, so the T150 and cars range was the same).

Have you modified anything / a file?
I don't get it to work, weather if I modify custom ffb file and using custom ffb in-game nor if doing nothing, using original files and default ffb setting.

Updated original post from spring 100 to spring 0. Spring also clips details and should be set to 0!

Updated original post recommendations for v1.1.2.0

Due to changes in default ffb to the self aligning torque, less LFB is needed.

    Try starting at 30.
