Yes, DD's can break your wrist or your arm if you crash hard and don't take your hands off the wheel. Heck, even my CSW 2.5 has injuried my finger a bit once, and my shoulder.

Seriously, you’re going to be at the top of pretty much any leader board, proof is in the pudding (although I’ve never quite understood the saying,) so it’s just a matter of time before the new TT reflects that.

The times are hugely impressive, I’m pretty happy if I’m within three seconds of them when I’m testing (I’m not keen on TT, can’t get used to it for some reason) but it’s your YT videos that shock me. How speed can be carried through corner after corner is both inspiring....and a little depressing, at least when viewed through the lens of my talent. Now I understand why the term Alien is used. You’re not human mate:D;)

That sounds far too dangerous. I'll happily swap you for my mid-range gear driven wheel, for your own safety. :)

Oh no. I am already using the best belt-driven wheel. A Fanatec CSW 2.5. It's the peak of belt-driven bases. Next are DD's. Belts.. There's nothing better than a CSW 2.5.

I would love a DD, but I think I have to wait for a couple of more years:
    • There are way too expensive at the moment
    • They all use their own ecosystem which is annoying
    • They are still in the baby-steps fase.
    • If I want to go mainstream aka Fanantec there's broken drivers and jolts and such
Anyway CSW 2.5 will do fine till 2025. Only thing I would disagree buying it is that before 2017 the price was 550 euro. Then they lowered it to 450. Someday a year or 1.5 later they raised it again. So technically a new CSW 2.5 is worth 450 euro and a used between 350-400 (with warranty) So never buy a CSW 2.5 for higher than that.

Agree mate. I would love a DD and i'd probably have to go Fanatec as i'm already heavy in their eco system but price and said issues.

By the time i'm ready i hope they are also.

I bought my CSWv2 when the 2.5 was released and the v2 went down to $500 AUD (320 euro) so i snapped one up then, super happy with it and hopefully till 2025 like you said.

How big of an upgrade is a CSW 2.5 compared to CSL Elite 1.1? I am pretty happy with my CSL but this is my first FFB wheel.

    Kick function is already there..
As for wrecking I would suggest getting into some leagues?
There's a few of them already organizing championships and for fun races or both.. Look for them on internet, facebook or even here in the relevant thread

Depends on how you look on it i guess , i think its a benefit.
Considerd a fanatec base but was not a fan of their wheel designs and ecosystem.
This way i choose whatever i like , its now possible of course with their podium hub but was not available when i bought my simucube 2 sport.
Works very well by the way with ams 2 , especially with the newer cars , been on the default ffb file since 3 updates now and very pleased with it.

Well, what I really want it every piece of hardware working on every piece of base. Prefer a Thrustmaster rim but have a Fanatec. Just bolt on it and race. Wanna have a V3 on a Logitech G27? Just plug it in the base, etc etc. So using a Fanatec rim just click it in the Simucube. Done. Without weird conversion kits and such.

In real life I can use Goodyear tyres under my Toyota, etc etc. Probably even use a Mazda rim and much more. Simracing-hardware, just liks smartphones, need the same connections. aka USB C. and not using USB A, B, C, Thunderbolt and what not.

Fantastic! I'm personally hoping Championship mode will allow full customization - Race length, car type, track selections etc. Thanks for the great ongoing and open communication Reiza.

I hope they will refine the Stock car 2020, put led on the corolla headlight, dust when they leave the track in some circuits like rattlesnake, and refine the animation of the wipers in relation to the water in the windshield, which is very artificial.

Just a minor note: on the Spa DLC steam page it says you'll be adding the 1991 version. This hasn't been updated to 93.
