TS - PC here and it doesn't make a difference if on 100 or 0.
So i suggest as alwasy LEAVE IT ON STANDARD in TS Profiler.
Do the damping in game.Mine is at 20.

With the in-game Damping, you can tell when it's set too high because the sensation of over-steer will lag behind. The steering response has slowed to the point where we have to fight the wheel in order to control the car optimally.
Yes, I have recently dropped my SimuCube1 Hardware Damping to zero, relying 100% on the in-game Damping. The result is improved per-car steering dynamics (Unique Steering characteristics). So the steering in a Porsche for example, generally feels different from that of most other cars.

Like I explained the damper in the wheel base is NOT an enabler of up to "xyz" damping based on what you select in game but it's on top of what AMS2 dishes in the game. Therefore such a high damping (i'm told it's very common for instance with ACC players) is adding up with the big drawback that AMS2 developers are having a scaling factor between your in-game setting and each car based on the estimation of the real damping effect in the steering rack etc. The wheel base one does not scale so it acts like a tank squashing everything else.

The Brabham BT26a is really transformed since the last time I drove it, really is a blast and feels a bit more controllable. And quite a bit faster than is previously was.

    Great job Reiza!:hurrayreiza:

Perhaps, they forgot to mention it in the release notes, but now the Group C Sauber has the turbo whistling!! Sounds amazing.

Also, been playing with AMS2 for too long... Complete forgot about removing the dampening from the Fanatec recommend settings. Now, the wheel/FFB feels a lot of better.

    In-Game Settings

    Default
    Gain 65 in game.
    Other Controls Settings are 0.
    Loving it!!

Fanatec DD2 Settings (with a Formula V2 small rim, thus less force than large rim)

Have to give credit to the audio particularly in the group C cars which really adds to the immersion and the feeling your one mistake from imminent death in these cars.

Agree on the sound but it was mentioned in the previous notes, Sauber had minor audio update or similar. March 3rd I think.

NDP is a DD thing. It just adds a constant weight to what is otherwise an unnaturally light rotation when there is no load from the game. And it helps stop oscillation. Running low NDP won't have any negative impact on in game dampening.

    would 10-15% be ok?

It's a little confusing because there is some mix information going on here..

That kind of confusion about FFB settings was exactly the reason why I asked several times for an official Reiza FFB guide. I was told it will come, even when this was a bit ago. ;)

So after seeing the YouTube video made by Empty Box driving the Group C cars and asking for Reiza to also give us the Jaaag I decided to search for the some videos on YouTube see if I can find better videos and to my surprise I did find a few I have not seen before.
I drove the Jag in pcars2 but as with many cars in that game the sounds are generic, nothing to impressive, the car sound so much better in real life but still the car is my favorite Group C car.
But where I want to get is the "bouncing" cars in AMS2. There were so many discussions about the cars being to bouncy.
Well in the video below the cameras stabilization did not work or is just not that great and we can see how much bumps a top track like Monza has and how much the car is actually bouncing. I think people these days forget how crazy good the stabilization is in the video cameras. Also these cameras usually use wide and ultrawide lenses that help a lot with the stabilization.
I am not trying to say the camera is perfect in AMS2, far from it, there is still work needed but the tracks have bumps and quite a few and the cars are a lot more bouncy that some video make them to be.

    Wicked POV.

These Group C cars are the best. Real race cars. I hope Reiza gives us more of these beasts at some stage.
