Oh, absolutely - although I'm disappointed in the age of some of the GT3/4 models, that's a personal thing that doesn't matter much - I understand the cost saving in not commissioning new assets is critical to being able to afford them.

I was just wondering if there was another thread discussing that template XML finding.

Both Nissan are highly appreciated if true.
GT1 and especially Group C are my favourites.

Also would love to see the Toyota 90 C-V in Group C.
Good ol’ Gran Turismo memories. :)
    [yes I know....it’s no wishlist]

We already have those, they are the Puma cars in Copa Classic A and B respectively ;)

It does however mention the following the bootfiles for the first AMS2 mod :
    aston_martin_vantage_gt3
    aston_martin_vantage_gt4
    formula_rookie

Aye, I spotted that, I wasn't sure how to take that - I can't see what pack Surfer's Paradise would fit into, so to take that seriously...? I think so, will add it to the list. At this point I'd be stunned if there's no '90s Champcar in the Racin' USA pack, there's no shortage of 'hints' for that.

I interpret that tweet as a tongue-in-cheek comment, but hey – this is the thread where we can speculate, right?

Has anyone heard anything about historic versions of Cascais? Or even just Cascais without the chicane?

We don't know the content of either Historic Track Pack, parts 1 or 2, and there aren't too many candidates, so I'd be surprised if Estoril isn't one.

Most obvious 'hint' is this one:

Pretty sure they'll add Monza + historic alternatives. No sim can exclude Monza. All GT3 guys need this track and Spa, otherwise they don't know where to race. :D

God…can you imagine using the old first chicane? Such a relief, comparable to the good old bus-stop chicane in Spa '93. Those were the days.

yes, this was a real classic chicane, like the ones on backstraight at Surfers Paradise.
Sadly, many classic corners, chicanes and sections were destroyed or modified in a way that they lost their original characteristics, i.e. Eau Rouge or Blanchimont, back in 1993 it is something different and challenging, not so boring like today with asphalted run offs, flat curbs and no bumps.

I hope that we get some information about the content as soon as possible. I am really excited because the historic is the best content of AMS2 (beside the other perfect contents).
I wonder which tracks will get a historic layout. Several classic tracks have one already. So I think, they will add some new tacks (hopefully they add Buenos Aires historic + current and maybe Rio / Jacarepagua 1995-....).

AMS 1 & 2's classic Montreal is a good example. The final chicane, the "Wall of Champions" one, is more fun on the older circuit. The Ultima Race wiggles on exit.

(edited for accuracy and idiocy...)

Agree, but mate, you mean Montreal, not Toronto ;)
By the way, Toronto is a great track as well, of course.
