    Really Cool, especially as we can do every race in the 2021 calendar.

    A lot of liveries in first hand here

    Piquet with Motul, that's interesting.

    That feels good to me. My initially thought is it would tone this car down a lot; it is more stable and predictable however I have the confidence to carry more minimum speed into corner entry so I am having some nice little moments on mid and exit when I slightly go over the limit of grip.

    Nice one! :cool:

    Have really been getting into the Brazil stock cars of late--they are tons of fun so glad to have the update. For the open wheel cars/GT1 etc., was hoping we'd get the old [raceable] AI back. Perhaps with the March update...

    This is all i’m seeing too having restarted steam several times etc after downloading.

    @Renato Simioni .
    still haven’t got the latest content, have tried everything including deleting docs folder.
    Today’s update was only about 256mb from memory?
    Will have to see if it resolved tomorrow..

    Yep they're still a bit on the physics ignoring side, braking too deep, constantly passing inside on the grass, passing on the outside in high speed corners, hugely outgunning the player out of some corners (Silverstone Luffield) etc etc.
    Other than , the update is great :)

    I have the Stock Cars 2021, but game still has version number 1.1.2.4.1571, though.

    Edit: Early access version, no beta.

    I'm not really a fan of the Formula Retro revisions to be honest - just tried the Lotus at Brands Hatch, and more than once, it jerked towards the grass for no apparent reason. Apart from that, there seems to be even more understeer now...

    • Fixed base windscreen textures to fix white windscreen problem on some cars when users turn on livery overrides

      The Ginetta's G40 GT5's did not have this problem, they do now since the update.

    Ok , yes I see the stock cars now, but don’t see championship season or am I just getting confused with some others posting about championship?
    Also haven’t seen anything in terms of this ffb script. Is it ment to be in menu or is it just in default custom file, I didn’t find it ?

    Just to show my good will I completely deleted the AMS2 folder from documents.
    The only thing I copied in was my graphic settings.
    The result testing the Sauber on Spa historic with both a complete default setup and a slightly tweaked one - was even worse than I remembered.:rolleyes:
    So I consider this car (the Sauber) completely undrivable in AMS2 - hehe and without any resemblance with any existing car in RL.

    ByTheWay: Even the slightly old Ford T drives better in RL. :p:p

    ByByTheWay: I tried to record a video of this car deformity in Bandicam but the sound in AMS2 disappered every time I started Bandicam up. So no hovercraft video this time :D

    @Kuku Maddog

    This belongs to your ffb_custom_setting.txt in the AMS2 Documents folder!

    Ok, finally gave the Sauber a try in both dry and rain (normal rain, so not light and not storm) on Imola 1988 (don't yet own Spa). In the rain I tried the soft slicks the hard slicks and the wet tires. Here are my thoughts: (all done on base setups in free practice)

    On hard slicks in the rain: Given that in second gear, you already drive at motorway speeds, the lack of grip feels quite what I would expect. You are aquaplaning from +/-60kph+. When you hit +/-160kph+ the airo gets the overhand in grip level and the car feels relatively planted.

    On soft slicks in the rain: The car feels relatively planted and I can pretty much floor it in third gear, Might even be a bit too planted from what I would expect, but never driven the car in real life. In first and second gear I have to be more careful, but already from +/-100kph in second gear I can start to go towards full throttle.

    On the wet tires in the rain: The car feels planted and really stable.

    On soft slicks on dry road, the car feels very planted and easy to drive, yes you can ovedrive it but with being a little bit careful in first and second and with your steering inputs you should be fine I think.

    So, yeah I think I'm in the "the car feels stable" camp :D

    And yes, I have had aquaplaning in real life, the car then feels like a hovercraft where any steering input doesn't do anything at 100kph+. I can tell you that the feeling of sliding towards the wheels of a truck (and you not being able to do anything about it because your tires aren't touching the road) is not the best in the world....:p
