But what good it is to know what grip you have in the sim and you can measure it? If you don't know what you are aiming at. Yes, you can see how it changes when you change other parameters but then you are still playing in a system and that doesn't say anything, how much closer it is to real life. Which is what we are after I think.

They don't need telemetry data to tell. They design the curves so they know. Hence my initial question: I can see a reason for iRacing to lie about the grip considering they are mostly subscription based, but other devs would have no reason to do so IMHO.

They "craft" the tires and it likely spits out a very huge lookup table (SETA tire model should be a comparable process, btw.). I wouldn't say, that you literally "design the curves" in a physical tire model. The tire model puts something out, that acts in a specific manner when the tire is "built", but it's not like the Pacejka model, where you tweak curves.

Being the same cars that are used world wide in TCR championships would be a great choice :)!

I have to say I have been very vocal on the Physics/FFB over the last couple of updates, sorry lmao..
There are still a few cars that still worry me below.

    Stock car 2020
    Stock car 2021
    V8 Super
    GT4 class
Mini JCW...Seems to have way too much tyre slip FWD, just chews up the tyres.
    Lotus 79

They all seem to have the same issue with the tyre slip window.
it's as though the curve in so abrupt in and out of grip, that the car almost feels undriveable in certain situations.
I'm not sure if it's a lateral thing or just plain lack of grip, especially in slow corners.
With just a slight input of the throttle/steering it seems as thought the outside tyre just gives up sending the cars into a weird kind of locked out spin, with no input making any difference.

But nearly every other car in my opinion is very close to being spot on.
    Opala 86 is a masterpiece...
Some cars are probably the best of any sim.
The new update makes the cars feel so much more natural, with trail braking and mid corner rotation on or off the throttle the cars are much more adjustable.
Even on the exit and entry so much more control and flow.
Loving the work, keep it up Reiza cheers.

Please exclude these two...they're just (awesome) sh*tboxes IRL. ^^'
Their principle of driving is based on correcting their lateral attitude all the time. They lack the pleasant downforce of their predecessors, while keeping a horrible amount of weight and cook tires a lot, which led to harder compounds for this car class, that still suffers, if daytime temps are quite high.
This car can be pushed 100% for 1 lap and needs 2 laps to relax after it, basically.

The 2019 car has by far more downforce. The 2020 next gen car has less downforce and a slightly shorter wheelbase.^^

Thanks Crimson. 2019 is a beauty!

Even though they have different class selection on the Ui I believe all three fall under SCV8. Why did Reiza do that.? Won't there be a mix of 19,20,21's when I choose same class under opponents..?

When you choose multiclass, right now, they should be described as "Stock Car 2017, Stock Car 2020 and Stock Car 2021"

The SCv8 is the abbreviation in the player HUD only.

I also think, the Stock Car 2017 should be renamed to Stock Car 2019, but the car is effectively actually the 2017 spec Stock Car, so it's not wrong, though.^^

Yeah that makes sense for multi class selection. I wasn't sure about same class selection however if you say it's only the HUD abbreviation being reused then all is good as there shouldn't be any class mixing. It would be good if the timing monitor had more info to differenciate vehicles/class/manufacturers and possibly use a SC19 or SC20 class emblem like they did for the Formula G1/G2/G3..

And the 2017 typo I already raised.. :)

Yeah, it could be more specific, i agree.

I'm still all-in for this kind of system, of every of the 10 classes having its own colour in order of performance and manufacturers brand in addition, but maybe it's hard to realize still...
