well don't over think it whatever you end up doing - there will probably be a few more revisions yet and a patch. Going to need to wait to see after the patch more than likely. Driving on a tx servo base and using lfb at 60-65, currently 66, and dampener at 40 and gain at 95 (100 in most cars specifically)...its been a dream, very few flat cars if at all. Just some better than others but no bad ones.

edit: I have come to see AMS2 is very different from other games in braking and the like so I am trying not to compare it to other titles.

I’m not sure where you coming from ?
I’m not likely to make any significant tuning changes.

You give a running commentary. Save your struggle. Unless you like over analyzing.

I am just giving a counter argument, its been literally 100% fine since version 3.4. He is not joking about it being rock solid.

Your best bet is to get a dd (note that I have a belt drive)

your settings are close to mine although i have slightly lower gain and tend to keep power steering ( damper) at 50.

    And it feels great
The brake feel in this file is extraordinary, and it’s helping braking confidence no end, this is brilliant for someone not running load cells.

i havent done a tune, its not needed

I think the only change I've got running is minor brake feel reduction and minor static force HF increase.
    2-3 points for each.
my settings are roughly around 60/60/10-20/50 depending on car. and with TM settings 100/100/0/0

Apart from the bug, i feel this file has much much better balance now between various resistance forces of various cars, especially very high downforce vs GT, also weight affecting brake "effect" was changed slightly which allowed small overall reduction, it seemed to be too heavy for some wheelbases.

@Stakanov I will check how your tighten is felt on my wheel base tomorrow and let you know.

I hope you can feel only a very slight different attitude around the position of force 0 and not to warn anyone in order to implement it (basic or even optionally) by the user without there being the need to modify anything in your FFB file that it's wonderful ... if it doesn't bother DD steering wheels it certainly doesn't bother everyone else ... with Peter we started from TR 0.0050 and TF 0.0005 and He (who is much more sensitive than me) in the tests correctly advised to decrease it to 0.0020 and 0.0002 to avoid inconvenience to other steering wheels ... you who instead have the SC2 and therefore a DDs could incrementally verify up to what level it does not become invasive and above all at what level you feel this sensation in the center ... with these simple incremental tests:
    TR 0.0010 TF 0.0001
    TR 0.0020 TF 0.0002
    TR 0.0030 TF 0.0003
    TR 0.0040 TF 0.0004
    ... and so on!!!

NOW I AM AT WORK BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THE NEW 3.8 ... THANKS GUYS!!! :)

Ok, I just tried & I don't think I feel anything with those values.
@Shadak Your podium is more sensitive at the very lowest forces, do you feel anything different by changing to these:

(tighten_range 0.0050) #Use for lower end wheel bases.
(tighten_falloff 0.0005) #Use for lower end wheel bases.
    ?

    Try go up with step
    0.0060 0.0006
    0.0070 0.0007
until you feel a very small different almost placebo sensation of closure ;)
Edit: in karts perhaps it is felt earlier by being more sensitive ...
Edit 2: the more you DDs go up without warning or rather without changing the logic and the sensation of the rFuktor file ... the better for us LowEnd users
Edit 3: When I tested the Tighten I did it on GT3 and then the Formula V10 Gen2 cars or better the Ultimate 2019 ... as soon as you feel the sensation try the karts as it could be too much on them and then (in this cases) go back to intermediate values ... ;)

So @Shadak just tested in 2 different ways.
Currently we apply the tighten function only when the ffb signal is not zero, but you can also just always apply it, so he tried both ways.

The limit for starting to feel it WITH the zero check in place, as it is in the file now:
(output (if output (tighten output 0.004 0.0004) output))

The limit for starting to feel it WITHOUT the zero check in place:
    (output (tighten output 0.001 0.0001))

So @Stakanov please replace this line:

(output (if output (if (+ tighten_range tighten_falloff) (tighten output tighten_range tighten_falloff) output) output))

With one the 2 ones & let us know which helps you the most on your wheel base?

I return from work to home in 4 hours ... then i check ... in this moment i don't now if @Peter Stefani is on line for testing now ... you are always CURTEOUS guys thanks ;)

Just a confirmation... ok for replace but first, in these lines I always have to insert the same values ???
(tighten_range 0) #Use for lower end wheel bases.
(tighten_falloff 0) #Use for lower end wheel bases.

Or not for now I leave to 0 because it is added manually in the last line of the output below:
(output (if output (tighten output 0.004 0.0004) output))
    (output (tighten output 0.001 0.0001))

Right, it won't matter what you set the top values at, as they're not used when these lines are in place.
