It's a bit strange how I was wondering if the M4 would be added only a few hours before the announcement dropped
Perhaps I could be a fortune teller

Reiza needs to introduce Online Championships that run over 12 weeks - i wonder where i got this idea:whistle: - its been a mistake by Reiza to not have this part already. Multiplayer championships are big news and this is an area that needs an overhaul - there is absolutely no reason why Reiza cant compete with ACC and Iracing for example - just needs to be done

I think just like in MSF2020 I'm gonna be spending more time playing with the Weather then the actual Sim :D

Great work, as ever Reiza :)

The cars look great in AMS2, the only thing that bugs me is some of the low res stickers that you can see in the showroom, they drag the overall quality of the cars down a bit.

Don't you just hate the defocused camera angles in the showroom, just a waist of time to wait for the next properly focused angle.

Does anyone know what was changed in the physics? Or is it still confidential?

Yeah, it is a bit annoying, would be neat if you could do similar in the showroom as in ACC, where you can open and close doors and have a free camera inside the car too, that is such a cool feature.

Exact changes are confidential/beta only. But there are hints of the effects out there. And I bet that the changelog entry is going to undersell it.

I'm personally very excited about this update, because from everything I've heard it sounds like a milestone in the public differential behavior analysis that got big in January - without being limited to differential behavior. It's important too that I/we no longer blame the differential itself as past updates have shown. The past driveline update did a number on cars' rotation controllability without touching the differential itself (judging by changelogs anyway).

Have a listen to this bit on Steelcast's preview. He has analysed many cars for hundreds of hours in total up until now so he knows what he's talking about.

Now watch this (makes more sense if you've driven the 79 or other F-Retros)

P.S. that Long Beach combo oooh nelly :hurrayreiza::cool:

Thanks Oez! Gotta say Long Beach looks incredible and the physics are looking very interesting indeed in the Lotus. Two more sleeps...

    Great idea!
Sadly in January are less races. But the next to the day I was born was this:
Looks like a warm and sunny day in February.

Even if I could set the right day in time. AMS2 does not sport the right cars.
albeit it could easily be emulated by VW Gols, Pumas and Chevettes. But nothing can substiture an 1970's Porsche 911RS or an Ford Escort RS

Not sure what you mean here. DPi is LMP2 based, but that's mostly at the chassis level only. DPi and LMP2 have very different regulations, and Cosworth is the sole provider of electronic control systems for LMP2.

Without Acura and Mazda in the game, DPi is going to feel like LMP1-Hy, but since it will just be Cadillac and Acura in 2022 DPi it's hard to see Reiza creating a Mazda car for just a few months of relevance. So, I would expect there to be an Acura (and a NSX) before too long.

Worth noting that the Mazda chassis and team (Multimatic) will evolve into the Audi and Porsche LMDh program by 2023.

Don't forget about the Ginetta 58, albeit the Metalmoros and Sigmas have a better Power to weight ratio. The DPi is currently downrated to 580HP just lieke the Ginetta 58, and I don't see any of them in the same class as an Porsche 919.

These are cars, more comparable to LMP3, though, not 2 (The Sigma also just partially).

Now that you mention the Porsche 919... man, I’d kinda love to see the Hybrid EVO in AMS2. Recreate that insane Nords record.
