I'm strangely excited for the GT4 Bimmer too... Even with all the goodies about to be unleashed.

Sure - the Ginetta is part of the LMP1 legacy class that pulled out of WEC because they couldn't beat the TS050. It would have been better to have them race the Bykolles and Rebellions in a separate class.

I don't know what this has to do with DPi, though. To me, the realistic scenario is a Aug/Sept update brings the Acura DPi into the game (in time for the rescheduled Long Beach GP of which Acura is title sponsor) and sets things up for 2022. Daytona and Sebring are long-gone, so unfortunately Reiza was a bit late for the year.

I would love to see the Acura out for Aug/Sept and Le Mans out for July! ;)

Mate, the P1 cars are lower spec, than LMP2. The AJR are even quite close to the unBoPed GT3 in the Endurance brasil and the G58 is even used in LMP3 class.

The DPi class is faster than the G58 and drives circles around it. (Well maybe not circles, but scissors :p )

yes... but... Laguna Seca is not Le Mans..., the high speed trick won't work there. I think of it as an interesting challenge.

    LMP2 from 2020 or 2021? +20kg and -67hp in current spec.

Now you've made me want to open up the G60 mod for rFactor 2 and compare lap times at Sebring!

rF2 has official DPi as well as very good mods for Acura and Mazda.

I don't need to. It would be unfair.

The G58 in AMS2 is very unlikely matching the Caddy DPi (or LMP2 performance). It's just not performing well enough.

It had also to do with difficulties to set the car up, which is understandable for such a track like Laguna Seca...

EDIT: i just saw the video...forget about it :D

With reference to Walter Röhrl, the driver should always be the deciding factor.

That crash? If the driver puts that one down to car setup, the mechanics will piss in his drinks bottle :D

    @Renato Simioni

    Suppose this scenario:

25 minute race at a predefined date (say, may 1st 2021).

Race starts at 8:00 AM, time progression set to 60x (so, a 24h full cicle will happen, and each minute will be 1 hour).

What's gonna happen to the dynamic weather?

1 - there will be just one weather slot (since the race has only 25min and the slots are hourly based)

2 - there will be 25 weather slots, one per minute, due to the time progression setting, spanning though may 1st at 8:00 am to may 2nd at 9:00 am

I drove it just once and was not impressed - it felt plasticky and lacks the raw feeling of LMP2s in rF2.

DPi in rF2 is really nice - I can get into the high 1:49s at Sebring with the Cadillac. Much smoother ride and as long as you are soft and gentle with the car, it sails around the track.
