Hello, y'all. My name is Arthur and I am Your Brazilian Sim Racer.

To be straight into the problem: AMS2 is freezing right in Splash Screen. I've researched a lot about it and what I found was that it can get in conflict with Logitech Software. The thing is to me it has never happened before. So I've tested the easiest way possible: I've closed the G Hub enterely and uninstalled it. Guess what: it worked! But then again I had no Force Feedback. So I've installed again of course aaaand guess what? AMS2 froze right in Splash Screen. Hmm... Maybe it was my computer so I've format it trying to fix it. And after reinstalling everything again it still had the same problem. I've sent an e-mail to Logitech Support and now I've created an account in Reiza forums so I could try to get some help from the source.

Bonus try: same problem happened with Project Cars 1 and 2. Maybe it's the Madness Engine?

Anyway, I hope you guys can figure this out. I've bought the Season Pass 2020-2022 since launch and I can't wait to play the American iteration to the series. Also, as a Brazilian myself you guys know that it was not cheap. Happy to support the team since AMS1 but... Problems right? Thanks in advance! Cheers to y'all.

Hey, could you post your hardware specs?

Otherwise, maybe this is already getting you closer to a solution? I think, it's not totally focussed at your issue, but who knows, what G-Hub is doing. It caused some hickups in the past also for other users of some sort, i think:
No FFB with G923 after yesterdays update

This is really strange. Are you able to use the LGS (Logitech Gaming Software) instead of G-Hub with your G29? So you can then maybe deactivate G-Hub for launching AMS2 for now but run the G29 over an older LGS to get FFB running appropriately? Maybe the older LGS will also be less painful to use for all Logitech devices, if they still support it, after some reports by users, not sure though.

LGS 9.02.65 for example... i'm still on LGS 9.00.42 and all my Logitech devices run fine (except my old G27, which needs an even older LGS) and it doesn't cause any issues

Otherwise maybe G-Hub has already been updated?

Actually I did try that too. AMS2 runned just fine but there was no FFB and I had to calibrate the wheel (and I never had to do it before). The LGS was lighter then G Hub and it has more "free" options regarding Logitech hardware. Since they updated their software to the G Hub I've been having more problems. Sometimes even the G29 disconects by itself like very often...

Try the advise in the link i send you, please.

Maybe, it's recognizing also the G29 as true force device....

    Logitech software headache :D

Will do. As soon as my online class finishes. I can't afford right now to freeze my computer mid online class... I'll keep you posted! Thanks for support so far. Can't wait to try it out.

I would second this. I see so many problems, and not just in AMS2, and the common denominator is G-Hub. Almost all the advice is to get rid of it and use LGS instead. I use LGS with a G29 and it works fine in all the sims I use (rF2, AMS, PC2, AC, ACC, AMS2, DR and DR2). I guess I'm fortunate in that I've never been tempted by G-Hub.

For people with a G923 wheel, do you need G-Hub for TrueForce to be functional, or does TrueForce still work with LGS?

Can you downgrade/backroll G-Hub to an older version?

Actually I was unable to. A similar solution was using LGS (old logitech software), but like I said before I had no Force Feedback and I had to calibrate the wheel (for the first time ever).

Have you used the "Blue G" or the "Blue controller" in the taskbar Logitech gaming software?

Hmm. Now you got me. Probably the standard one. I don't remember any of those terms. Sorry.

blueg.png This is the symbol in the taskbar you should see from the Logitech gaming software, that is compatible with the G29.

Try something like version 9.00.42 or 9.02.65 for example.

I see what you mean! Like running in backgroud in system tray. Yes, I was using it but it wasn't working, you see? I think I'll try to uninstall G Hub again, reinstall LGS and figure it out more carefully.

Like stated, look for the version number. The G29 should theoretically work with the LGS 9.00(.42)

Im running old legacy LGS 9.02.65 with a G-920. I did the uninstall and rollback thign a few moths ago, since G-hub regularly makes trouble after Updates. You need to download legacy LGS from third party sites now since you won't get it from Logitech anymore. Make sure you also have the last Firmware update for the G-29.

So, i've reinstalled the LGS (9.02.65) and AMS2 runs just fine but then again no FFB.

You're not alone, I spend a lot of time on the phone with a friend who went through the same problems. Looks likw parts of G-Hub are still present and conflicting LGS. Here is a possible solution: How do I completely uninstall G Hub? : LogitechG (reddit.com)

BTW: this made me switch to Thrustmaster in the end.
