i think it’s a case of not being used to having details in feedback if compared to RRE.

I’ve been trying out the new Ffb in Raceroom and while it’s much better than before it’s devoid of details and is quite resistance based.
I see a lot of g29 users praising how smooth it feels, which is great for them but i find it numb on a already smooth belt wheel.

that said i find rfuktor 4.4 internal systems smoother and tighter than 4.5 or 4.6 in these customs , so maybe one of those might be good to try.
I haven’t yet worked out what make this so, but maybe something to do with the different static force reduction workings.

I am mainly do the testing in Nordchleife as it has a good combo of many things. There is a sequence of cars which include caterham, gt1, groupC, gt3, gte, DPI, formula retro, vintage, v10, P1, P3, street, super v8, M1, German, sometimes the Mini, karts and other random. So it's a quite exhaustive list. A group of cars might feel great with a file setup, but others might feel ****, so its a process going back and forth with the adjustments trying to find a common ground to fit most if not all.

Since it was dirt cheap this weekend i downloaded Ams1 .
I was pleasantly impressed that pretty much out of the box default Ffb was great, and much to my amazement. It was almost exactly the same feeling as i’m getting through my tune.
so considering everyone says ams1 is better ffb and physics etc , we must be doing something right here

So, after some extensive testing, it turns out that one FFB file fits all basically, at least it's not as much a difference between cars as it used to be. I was able to use one file for all cars, with just a small +/- click here and there for level adjust. I'm totally satisfied with 4.6, and with the new physics updates, the game is really fun now.

Here is my personal emotional sequence of braking events when the game physics works well and the FFB file gives you all the necessary sensations ... :p A5868E7F-AFF7-4D8D-B246-9A39083B316B.jpeg

Hoping to do a zip with all the tunes in, but we need some CSL/CSW files, I think too, before it makes sense.

Got to say, I’ve been running the file and settings posted by @LE GAULOIS on my CSW 2.5 and it feels absolutely brilliant to me.

But then. the file you are using is based on an almost old version of Muscle Factor... the one you are saying that is great was based on :+

    -muscleFuktor - Momentum Rack 6.2

    and the actual one is:

    - rFuktor 4.6 - Momentum Rack 6.3

Sorry....exactly which version is it your using? I have the CSW 2.5 and I am not sure if I like a 4.6 version over a 4.5 I was using last week or so.

I am using the edited Muscle 4.6 one and had some bizarre things happen after an hour of playing. The FFB just went totally krazy and it was like the config file was broken or the steering base lost its memory/firmware. But after some time out and a reboot or 2.......it worked again. But it still acted odd a few times and I am not sure if it is because of the FFB file being used or not.

    That sucks, 4.6 is better.
    Maybe adjusting "subtract_rot_velocity"
    down helps?

I thought I'd try it again, only have the base game but was prepared to buy a few bits if it impressed.
I have G25 and found it to be be bland and lacking detail, I added some FX but the whole thing felt dated.
I'll stick to AMS2 it feels 3D compared RRE FFB.
I don't hate it it just doesn't give me anything better than I have already in AMS2

    I found why
    i changed this : (centering 0.85)
    # center full
    (angle_d_l2 (* angle_d_l 12))
    (angle_d_r2 (* angle_d_r 12))

    I don't have oscillation.

Thanks dude, these are the settings that made my CSW 2.5 start to make sense with AMS 2.

    Thank you!

This looks promising but does anyone have any setup config for the old Fanatec 911GT2 wheel?

Tried ir on a. CSL elite PS4 with minimum changes ONLY on the wheel settings (Dumping to 0) and in game used adapted values... And worked great!

Having read some posts above regarding turning off the in-game damping and turning it back on in my wheel firmware has made a big difference, for the better. I am still missing some good feel at the front wheels, can't feel them load up or go light but it is a lot better than it has been. This is using NuScorpii's last custom file as the FFB source. Any suggestions on FFB on how to get more info from the front wheels?
