I thought they would fix the sprint race car with it raining inside the cockpit ?

Absolutely!. Please keep the optimisations coming. Just run tracks at night if you want to see what optimisations are required.

This is the biggest problem with the AI as I see it. Happens at loads of places and is consistent behavior. The second being the ridiculous speed boost and offline come back of a passed AI competitor. In F1 they would be given penalty points and 5 second penalties. In AMS2, its par for the course.

Apart from that, would love to see more direct communication in the "non beta" forums for issues that are being rectified when identified instead of having to wait for generous crumbs to be dropped from beta forumites. Why on earth twitter gets priority over your own forums is beyond me.

Vintage touring is just a category. The cars are not supposed to be raced as a class.

Probably reporting such kind of issues on proper threads (like the ones created by Renato) would help keep track of those and make the fixing process faster...

To be honest devs are quite silent on beta forum too, big difference is beta owners behavior and threads quality, as they are fast finding/reporting issues they also are good on finding what is new and better every release since they are somehow involved in the process.
Different story on the open part of the forum where there are the usual ones posting the same things every update or during development just to prove their points based on nothing or for the pleasure of moaning (not referring to you, just pointing why you don't find so many infos out of beta).

The New C8 Gt drives much like I expected, could perhaps do with some more front grip bite to compete with RSR.
Its very challenging and fun, and makes for some Pornographic replays ;)
    well done :hurrayreiza:

Reiza, well done with this intake bug fix. The fclassic gen 1s and fclassic gen 2 model 3, they feel so much better with this update. The turbo lag feels controllable now and its like the engine can actually breathe! (of course thats what an intake manifold does) 10/10, 5 stars, you get the picture. :hurrayreiza::hurrayreiza::hurrayreiza:

Hi all, just wondering what the above means? With the second quote I thought the initial mention was that it fixed throttle response for all cars but in the quote above it mentions several cars, which is it? Cheers

It's a global fix in the simulation modelling, but the effects show up much more vividly on some cars versus others.

It means that the underlying issue concerned all cars, but only caused poor throttle response in some cars. However I now suspect that you can still notice subtle differences in even the less affected ones.

    Great.
The improved throttle response makes AMS2 now playable with gamepad depending on your settings. Prior there wasn't enough finesse in the world to feed the power in with a gamepad trigger.
Much smoother now. I'm only really leaving the track due to my own shortcomings now

Thanks Marc and OEZ, any idea what the other two quotes from the update mean?

@F1Aussie With the first one I'm assuming it means that prior to this update real weather on certain situations if not all, was sourcing just the conditions from historical data, and assigning generic temperature data maybe there was a lookup table for X weather @ a given time of year. Where as now it's using the recorded historical temperature data. Which is actually pretty cool.

The third quote sounds like if you make a race selection and the assigned AI profiles for that class have all been used up then new profiles will be assigned in order of fastest AI driver.

So let's say you pick a class that only has 10 liveries, I'm guessing that class then only has 10 AI profiles assigned. If you run a race with 11 of those cars the 11th AI profile will be chosen based in order of the fastest AI from the pool. That's how I read it anyway. :)

Nice, thanks for that description. I already thought the temp was historically be accurate if you used real weather, did not know there was a placeholder system in use there. Good to know it is actual real temps now! Cheers

Indeed it is. People were asking me yesterday why the Nordschleife was so cold at the end of August on Touristenfahrten. The answer is because it is. Bloody 15°C and a not much warmer track surface.

Real weather was accurate but temps were direct result of weather on track.
Now, as in real life, we can have hot/cold track temps based on real data which aren't tied strictly to weather anymore but also to locations or season (as example tropical storms in BR means track temps are hotter compared to UK storms during the same season/weather).

Nothing like a sweeping generalisation to justify a position ;)

This. And I think they will next update the weather sys with RL wind conditions as well.
