iRacing has been in development for quite some time, and has a massive budget and resources. While I agree that the damage model in it seems very impressive, it also sets the highest bar in all of Sim-racing, not unlike it's online competition system and some other aspects.

Such reference is useful to show what is possible but, not so realistic given the differences in time-span of engine development & available resources between studios.

I agree 100%. I'm not expecting Reiza to deliver it at all in the short/mid term, their focus at the minute is very likely on much more relevant features.

Besides, unfortunately the user base in gereral is likely much larger on the tintops side, so it is reasonable to expend more time working on those, if it ever came to a point where that decision had to be made.

My post was more about personal wish for the future. At the moment, for example, I would rather have the 3 slick tyre compounds for F-Ultimate (actually, would love the C1 to C5) feature, which I personally believe that is much more relevant than additional visuals.

Further to my initial thoughts on damage scaling (think i made those rather obvious).
Love It! This has brilliant potential, but could it do with some refinment?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone knows if the seasonal weather has variation within the seasons themselves? So for example does the first month of autumn have more foliage than the last month if autumn, is first month of spring foliage different to last month of spring?

99% sure the answer is no and will remain no. Even doing 4 transitions/seasons is an insane amount of extra work.

Anyone know if penalties are enabled in custom championship mode? I have been deliberately crossing the white line on pit exit and not getting any warnings. Also can't see anywhere to turn this on in CC.

I don't think so as I have pit exit penalties on in single race which is the only place I have seen this setting, Unless it is tucked away somewhere else?

Try and have a look at your MP settings? MP settings for sure take the settings from the last server you participated in (even though you did not create it) and maybe those are interfering with your championship.
What track are you talking about?

It is located in Italy near the town of Milan.
In good weather conditions it is possible to see the alps in northern direction.
In Monza there ist the "Parco di Monza" where a famous race track is located, the "Autodromo Nazionale Monza".
Just hope I could help you ;)

I have only ever done single player in AMS2. it happens on every track. Works fine in single race but not in custom championship.

Is it me, or is the first left corner on Long Beach track limits not correct? I drive exactly the same line as the bots and I get an corner cutting warning (and then a penalty). Also penalties typically take 3 laps to take ( or a time penalty after that), but in AMS2 after you finish start-finish line you straight away get disqualified.

You're crossing the pit exit-line. It will penalize you even when you're crossing it with 1mm of your car. Just like in real life.

Or he is on the kerbs at the left hand side too much, which also gives a tracklimit

Yup, "wheel inside the track" doesn't apply at Long Beach. You are not allowed to cross the line at all. Otherwise exiting the pits would be super dangerous. Velo Cita doesn't do this with it's pit exit and it's really sketchy with pit traffic and normal racing traffic colliding.

Not if I'm not exiting the pit lane, i should be able to cross it when I am actually racing and not coming out of the pit lane. Or am I wrong in that and that only applies to F1 ?
