The windshield wipers on the BMW 2002 are invisible from the cockpit view. You can see them working from the outside view during reply, but they are invisible inside the car.

@Renato Simioni are the reflections and shadows updated at half the Refreshrate ? I Noticed tgat even with the car full stop it feels like the reflections and shadows are refreshed at 30hz. This couls be whatbis causing the shimmering no?
The chase camera on the bmw 2002 the car sound is bugged.

Bloody heck Reiza what have you done??? Ok so i've not even tried the new car yet, just been going through some of the old senarios and content to see whats changed and improved and already discovered a bunch of stuff you've mentioned in the notes has indeed improved. But feck me, maybe im going mad, but im sure theres other things that have improved that you've not even mentioned in the notes, like the GT3's around Monza, I swear they are once again better!

You guys never fail to amaze me! Bravo!!!

wow had a blast in the short Monza layout using 60s, 70s and Classic with the 2002. Boy fighting those C7-R/RSR with a 2002 gave me GT Legends Flashbacks. Corvette/Porsche passed me on the straight (properply because of the weak AI or to strong AI for previously raced formula cars) but I could outbreak and outturn the upclass backmarkers. Big Smile on my face.

Edit: If somebody don't know I'm talking about specificly this early race in the carrier:
yes I'm looking at you Falcon :D

Yeah just tried the 720S myself. Reset to default and seems very balanced and supple to me. Donuts were not attempted, that's another discussion anyway. But I haven't tried these in a while so make of it what you will...

Notable that I tried the Group A Merc and M1. Their engines feels meatier to me. Not as quick to rev in low revs and fights back more when dropping the clutch. Could be placebo, could be an earlier revision, but it can also be explained by increased engine inertia in their case. One of the outcomes of this is if you mess up a downshift in the Group A and let the revs drop before dropping the clutch, around it goes. But it's a subtle difference if any that creates an impression on me.

And the Group A Merc also feels like it got its fun factor back. Which isn't to state it's perfect or otherwise, but it throttle oversteers muuuch better than before.

    The BMW 2002 is fantastic.
It's a 5 speed manual but I noticed in the cockpit the dashboard shift pattern diagram
show it as a 4 speed:)

I think that was fixed a few updates ago.

Instantly feeling a bond with the new BMW 2002 - I think this could be the car I was waiting for, the one that really hits that sweet spot for me. Great job, Reiza!

Thank you SO MUCH for this, can't emphasise enough how I appreciate this. Now there's a reason to get both an Escort and Cortina in game when Ford get around to responding to you :p

Seriously though, looking forward to checking out the new patch and mixing the two 70s classes together on track.

Thx a lot Reiza for rolling out the BMW 2002 Turbo.

    Great car !
Stunning graphics and best of all, the handling of this car ist absolutely top from the start !
Lot of thumps up for this

And very good idea to split the vintage touring cars into 2 seperate goups , well done !!!

Here's a first quick view at the car racing at the Monza Junior Track :
(Just uploaded, so please be patient for hq video versions to appear)

No, the sound is absolutely odd, the turbo is much to predominant and the engine sounds like a 1600ccm not a 2000ccm. The turbo in particular sounds like from a caterpillar.

this is more how it should be 2002 tii, same engine, same Kugelfischer injection but without turbo:

A bit more subtle turbo whine, higher turbo pitch, more of gear whine and a deep exhaust note would do it.

A change in crankshaft mass should alter the way the engine reacst to throttle changes, most notable when running free during shifts with clutch pedal pressed. Should be notable on all H-Pattern cars, slower drop in rpm during gear shifts.
