Yeah, real talk, I hope Reiza are able to find time for their loved ones! I mean, I know I love sim racing and I wonder how awesome it must be to develop it for a career, but I'm sure I'd also want to get back to my family regularly lol

Not so sure on that trade-off anymore xD Now we've got bug findings and a dev update lost in the realms of limbo ... I should've taken that November 19th dev update when it was first offered :/

Ah well, the fact that we were honestly expecting a dev update at Saturday at midnight tells a lot about the insane work load you have to cope with. So, no worries, everyone's gotta sleep at some point.

Get a grip folks, it's a game with a slight delay to some news about the game. I can only imagine how some people would react if something of importance was delayed

I would just like to remind certain users, smashing over rFactor2 - Reiza has a beautiful DLC in that game. So when you guys hitting hard on good people from S397, you need to realize you are not doing Reiza any favors. Not to mention, Reiza will also take "years" to update that DLC to recent rf2 standards. And we all know why. Just as we all know why the development of rf2 is as slow as it is. So stop acting like fanboys, please. Especially when outside these forums - you represent Reiza community, all of us - keep this in mind.
As far as the roadmap pt.2 goes.. if I was Renato, I would post it 3 minutes before the start of Formula 1 race. Just to troll the little whiners :D

Well, you can expect people to trip over it when a date/day is mentioned, and then not met, it just shows how hyped most of us are about this game/update.
If the date was mentioned before the bug with physics was discovered it would be logical it got delayed, but since in that same post was mentioned it would come tonight, so you would kinda think the dev update was almost ready to post.

I think next time its better to delay everything, or not mention a day/date, because now you have people hyped for it to only be disappointed, and not for the first time, which is not wat helps ams2 gain popularity i think, and ams2 becoming more popular is what we all want and benefit from in the end.

I truly hope the dev update will come today, otherwise just a short message saying: Sorry, we are not gonna make it, it will come in the next days maybe handy to send out.

    Appropriate decision making models-

    TDODAR
Time- how much time do we have to allocate to this issue
Diagnose- what is the problem- use all available information sources
Options- option generation- use all available resources
    Decide- choose an option
    Assign- task allocation
Review- is the process still correct, change required etc

The first of these is important. In this situation sufficient time exists from the community perspective to focus on getting the rest of it right.

    Another useful one..
    BRAN
Benefits (of a course of action)
    Risks
    Alternatives
Nothing (The option of doing nothing)

I use these in the day job all the time. They are quite useful :)

There's no denying that, in that aspect next year will also have a end of november and an end of the year, so we might have to wait a whole lot longer if you look at it like that lol

We all know at this point, that the dev blog has been delayed a bit, mistakes were made and suggestions how to deal with it better are given. :)

Please let's move on, we will surely know more, when it's done/released.

    Thank you!

I think we need to talk about this for at least another 5 pages. I have a lot of Sunday morning outrage I haven't worked through yet. o_O

As for delays, software development is a cruel mistress.

I'm a developer, not in games or anything, but anyway.

I had a task in a job which I thought would take 15 minutes, it led to some issues -- things just would not work, anyway, 3 days and a lot of code (and coffee) later I'm back on track.

    **** happens you can't work 24/7

Yeah, very frustrating. I buy a sim to go racing, not to be a UI engineer. And by the time the game loads you could be two laps in on AMS2.
So much potential content I never get to enjoy.

Apologies for the delay on Pt2 folks, I had a social commitment yesterday and just couldn´t get through it in time after losing a couple of hours chasing that pesky bug. It should go up at some point today.

Working on it as I write this now, with a nice cup of coffee and the dogs by my feet as we enjoy a beautiful Sunday morning before the F1 race - hope you all are doing the same :)

Nothing happens, it is logical that with all the work you are doing some last minute problem arises. It's Sunday, the important thing is to rest and disconnect a bit.

Dogs are great but sim racers have to be careful with them: :)

Sounds like a good idea to move on. Now, what's going to be in the December update?

Whilst no compensation is needed, of course, I would definitely take dog pics as a generous over-compensation!
