    Thank you for checking Stakanov!

File updated with fixes & links replaced.
the first one (* 1.2 1.7 ...) is not a bug, but the others are.

(1.2 might be too high, however, I did not have the time to adjust further)

    Best,

    -K

Thanks again guys for your great work!!

I quickly did some laps around road America in the gen3 and BMW GTE and this is the best the game has felt for me on a mid range wheel Thrustmaster TX.

The only tweaks id make and are probably due to the lack of power/detail of a low mid range wheel is...
The braking feel is somewhat vague and flat, I can feel a bit of initial bite under braking but noticed I could see what tire was locking up in the gen 3 but couldn't feel an effect like the default + offers which gives a pull in that direction before going light. A tad more weight transfer would help too.
2nd a tad more rear grip loose feel.

If I can get those two dialed in it would be perfect for my taste.

managed a couple of laps in both a gt3 and f-usa and liked the way the tires felt prominent but smoother without the skipping.

the lateral and suspension load feel was nice and progressive, although a bit ( oof) strong in peak force, so will probably need to lower gain for a start.

look forward to delving into it more tonight

    Yeah,

I agree a few values are too high, hopefully will be better when well tuned!

Unfortunately the new file is not good. No car control, too little tire feeling. Steering is too heavy. Too many hits on the wheel, and the cutbs too extreme. 5.01 is much better. I may not have any friends now, but that's my opinion. It would have to be optimized a lot

I still can’t tell to be honest, the dt / 1 300 has the best wholesome feel, but does nothing for oscillation.

Dt 0.003…… doesn’t quite feel in sync or as tight but still doesn’t do much to counter oscillation.

Dt. 0.0044 smooths out oscillation but feels a bit vague.

Dt 0.0400……. seems a good compromise but still has a slight feeling of latency.

so yeah…my internal debate rages on . o_O

@Danielkart No worries, most is simple to dial down.
To me the older files feel too flat now, so I think some of the changes are good, however not well tuned.

Yes Karsten I know where I have to change the files. But I still don't see any improvement. I also hidden files in my 5.01. There are things that cannot be felt on the wheel a simulation. I then do that with motion or tactile. Your file is excellent but some data is too much. I also saw that they took my kart file. I think there could be further optimization , with the people here. Sorry, english is not my mother tongue

I’ve spent some time reverse engineering in a way, to better understand the differences, and made some steps forward, but also steps back.
    It’s a tricky one…
Oscillation is quite bad with high speed , high downforce cars too.
Macro forces are quite strong and mask micro forces or details , but I’m not sure if it’s a case of lowering macro forces or perhaps raising micro forces up …
I like it better when using the shorter form slide factor calculation as the drop off is too steep and wheel goes to light when front wheels lose grip.

will need to revisit tomorrow with a fresh mind,

Yes, sometimes less is better. Too many signals mask more important signals. So for me 5.01 is better

I like this version a lot but, may do some back-to-back testing vs. 501x. I like the progression of cornering forces with the SC2, here. The bumps are present but, not overly strong. Nicely done.

Yeah, those recent files feel great, so I saw no reason to not make it very similar (and credit the guys, ofc). It should also make it easier to make adjustments when it's that similar, I hope.

The reason for the new file was simply that I felt the old code did not provide enough change in the strength of the steering when there is more pressure on the suspension, so the older versions felt a little too flat. Hopefully this fix is enough.

Then added in a bit more control for the yaw feeling and changed it very slightly. The jury will be out if some extra tuning can benefit from that.

I'm having a hard time deciding what I like best for tear and scrub, btw, so any input on how it could be made better is very welcome. We don't want 2 variations going forward, I think, so might be better to decide if we want to improve on the settings as they are in this file or if we want to improve on how they are set in Kuku's Alt Scrub versions.

This is an excellent file, thanks for sharing! I can see you are using the values I reported here earlier, good to know I'm not the only one who thinks they're working. ;)

From your latest "5.0.x Alt Scrub" tune I only changed "dt" to my preferred value of 0.00444444444444444 and that's it. Suits like a glove. :)

Good to see you again, @Karsten Hvidberg :)

This is a really nice file you have put together. Very solid and well balanced, I really like it. Especially I like the way how the cornering forces loads up with this file. Unlike the 5.0.x files you've released earlier this one doesn't feel too harsh even on bumpy tracks like Nordschleife.

I would definitely keep using this if @Kuku Maddog 's 5.0.1 Alt Scrub tune didn't exist already, I very much prefer the way Kuku has implemented the scrub and tear in his latest Alt Scrub tunes. But at the moment I think that the rFuktor 5.0.1.2 has the best potential out there. I would really like to see the "Alt Scrub" variant of the rFuktor 5.0.1.2, perhaps it could be even my new favourite. ;)

Nice job, guys! Keep up the good work. :)

Hey fine people of this thread.....

Please excuse my ignorance/lack of knowledge but I would seriously love to know which of all the fabulous files you all have taken the time to upload is most suited to a CSW 2.5v

Totally thanks in advance to all that contribute to this great thread and community!

    Hey tUMi,

Can you describe what you like about the various tear and scrub effects?
The Alt Scrub is some of the old stuff, if I remember correctly, but values adjusted in a specific way.
I really would like to find some tear and scrub that we all like as I don't really love old or new myself, so any feedback is appreciated!

    ultra quick test .
Feels pretty good out of the box.
    @tUMi
Alt scrub is as easy as a quick copy and paste for comparison
but dont think it feels much different now
Have to rush off , will try to monitor the conversation at work.
