I explained myself badly and was referring to modern cars that have an electric limiter, and a lot of racing cars also have clutch limited for a number of starts.

in the video of the porshe posted reference is made to the first gear one already engaged which is different as in the video posted by me, in keeping the gearbox in neutral and the engine at 8000 rpm then in the limiter and inserting the first gear while always keeping accelerated.
Not in all the old manual cars, but in many by accelerating to the maximum with the gearbox in neutral, and engaging the first gear by pressing the clutch is not very easy, precisely because the synchronizers of some cars struggle to synchronize the crankshaft with the the wheel drive shaft.

Also RIP, GTLM/GTE... Everything endurance racing is eventually going the GT3 route eventually, but it was awesome while the class lasted.

The Daytona Oval is a known future track. It already exists in the game as a track model. And if we are talking oval races, theres two big ones: Indy 500 and Daytona 500. So no surprises that Daytona oval will exist in the future.

Somebody at Reiza is drunk or playing pranks when naming the files. The Brabham BT49 was the ground-effect car from 1980-82 and doesn't fit any of the existing classes. The McLaren MP4/5b was used in 1990, which again doesn't fit any of the existing classes as the FClassic Gen 3 are supposed to be 1991 cars.

Or maybe just don't trust any of the files to be any indication for what is coming (what we told you quite some times) even if some things might come or not. ;)

SteamDB is no official source for content releases.

puh that was close. So we have still the chance another GT machine will included next.
REIZA teasers were still available last year.

Regardless of whether or not they come into play The Brabham BT49 with Brazilian driver Nelson Piquet to win his first World Championship in 1981. and the McLaren MP4/5b with Brazilian Driver Ayrton Senna to win his second World Championship in 1990, fitting in the Formula 1 history and thus perfect in this game, I think

well, without a dev update for a while we ofcourse dont actually know what to expect, only thing i recall is that 2 remaining historic tracks were mentioned to be released in the first Q1 of 2022, which ends in a couple days, but that was the december dev update i believe, ofcourse the situation has changed a bit since then.

we will need to wait and see if and what happens when it happens.

It ran the last two races of the 1979 so it would fit the F-Retro Gen3:
"The BT49 competed in the 1979 to 1982 Formula One World Championships [...]"
    Source: Brabham BT49 - Wikipedia
Source: Brabham BT49 - Wikipedia (results table)

    It would fit the F-Classic Gen2, which is a mish-mash of 1988 & 1989 regulations, because the MP4/5B already ran in 1989:
"[...] and the MP4/5B with the Weismann Transverse Transmission for the last half of the 1989 season and for 1990 [...]"
    Source: McLaren MP4/5 - Wikipedia

The F-Retro Gen 3 are 1983 cars without ground effect, so it would be totally out of place there.

F-Classic Gen 2 is the 1988 spec because it features a turbo car, which were banned by 1989. So again out of place.

    So what?
Even if they bring new cars which don’t fit in existing classes (yet), you can use them for time trial or races against same car type or don’t use them at all.
New and interesting content is always welcome IMHO…

Some time ago Reiza listed also a DLC with Brazilian Champions Cars as one of the DLCs scheduled...Maybe that is where those cars may fit? :D
