I'm guilty of buying those RSS F-Hybrid cars every year, and it's also correct what you said before. I have aboslutely no desire to drive the 2017 F-Hybrid, because I can drive the 2021 F-Hybrid which is the latest evolution of that era, plus the modders got better so the model and physics implementation likley improved, even with updates to the 2017 model. It will be the same with the current cars, maybe until engine development is permitted to proceed in 2025, or when the next set of rule changes comes.

I'm so excited for the new F1 cars, nearly cheered out loud when I saw the post announcing it, I am very surprised to see it coming in 'the next update' though.

Makes me think this next update might be a hefty one. Gotta give it to the guys at Reiza, they shoot for the stars.

People keep mentioning RSS but other than leagues I can't see how they would be considered popular. In AC the Lotus open-wheel track day car has to be the most popular open wheel car by quite a large margin.

So this 2022 car is going to be popular and updated liveries and custom AI will keep it going for years.

It is a cool addition. Don't get your hopes up about a month end update however as this car was never previously mentioned in the beta and has not made it's way there yet. Hopefully others don't assume a month end update is coming with this new goody. :)

Maybe not a month end update, but perhaps a first week-mid April update?
If it's going to be released in the next update I guess they have been working on it for a long time, and they don't even have to deal with licenses this time, which may suck up a lot of time

Popular doesn't only ever mean "what people play online". Popular is also what gets downloaded a lot and rated well, what people praise in reviews.

That Lotus, and T1 Monza, is a combination that makes DD wheelbase users shudder

The turn is never the problem for me. I usually get punted before turn in.

Yeah, at this point I'm just taking it as it comes and enjoying the surprises.

It'll be a nice treat when I see the update queued in Steam. =)

The lack of real news and information in this forums is astonishing. Basically all post for months are rather speculations.

 Legit, had people straight line the double chicane there every lap in a race yesterday. No clue how it didn't give them track limits penalties.

IMHO, 91' Monza is more fun to hotlap, but worse for overtaking given how much faster you can go through the chicanes.

Track limit penalties at standard settings is 5 violations till you get a (drive through) penalty. You can use that in a MP/SP race to gain two or three positions. It is done because it works so well in the game. You don't have to fear neither the minor rule violation as long as you do it only a few times, and primarily, the game does not feature front difuser and uder cariage damage from such violent curb contacts.

So you don't visit this forum for a few days and, just like that, find out that current Formula 1 cars are going to make it to the game.

This is insane; I just hope they are good right from the start, as opposed to the dreadful Formula Ultimate. If they are, I'm going to stop complaining about any issues this game has, because I'm going to be busy driving.
