    Track & Layout Used: Any
    Car Used: Any
    Applicable Settings: Overcast weather
    Report: frame rate loss
Steps to reproduce: Drive in any scenario with overcast weather .

Hi . Think I've seen reports of this problem before but after looking through the forum I can't find the relevant posts .
Seems that the overcast weather causes a 20 - 30 FPS drop ( for my system ) regardless of quality settings selected , weird really as shadows and sun rays seem non existent under these conditions !
If anyone has any experience with this problem I would love to hear your thoughts .
    Thanks .

Weather can have a big effect on performance in most games.
Overcast and night require the game to render more lights (light poles/headlights), shadows, particles, and environmental effects like fog.
Although the developers can optimize these conditions it will never render as fast as clear daylight conditions.

Yes I understand this but what I don't understand is that this is 11am start .
No shadows /headlights or track lighting at all . I don't have any problems with fps at night , even with thunderstorms at night with 20 car grids . Seems like a poor optimization ?

This sort of thing probably happens to everyone, so will balance out over time I think.

Track and Layout used: Imola (Happens on every track though)
Car used: Mclaren Gt3 720s (happens on all cars with headlights)
Applicable settings: Race, 22:00 (any Night race), triple screens
Report: The FPS drops from 110fps to 40fps when there is a car behind with the headlights on. It doesn't happen on races with cars without headlights (ie. Formula cars around Long beach during night)
Steps to reproduce: Triple screens, test day any gt3 car during night and FPS are good, race with the same car and the same track, fps drop to 40, let all the cars go by, FPS increased to 110fps. Race with any formula car around any track during night, FPS are the same as day races.

I don't have this problem in ACC or AC during night races but only in AMS2... Clearly this is an issue with the engine and the optimization. Please check my report above and how easily you can replicate the issue.

Night racing yes I can appreciate the extra light sources and such that need rendering , overcast ? Literally no shadows or lights so why the huge drop in these conditions ?

    Track & Layout Used: Any
    Car Used: Any
    Applicable Settings: Rolling Start
Report: Any driver not in pole can hold back and accelerate to top speed before lights out, gaining a massive advantage. The pole sitter cannot do this as they must maintain a certain speed. A sitting duck at race start.
Steps to reproduce: Don't qualify on pole. Hold back a little and time it so you're up to full speed as lights go out.
Fix: Ensure ALL drivers maintain the rolling start speed rather than just the pole sitter.

No headlights at all . 11am start at Silverstone club circuit , overcast . Must be at least a 20 FPS difference between overcast and sunny ( or any other weather conditions )

You didn't reply in the thread I made about this subject, I don't think we should discuss this in the bug-report thread, Frame rate Overcast weather

I tested at silverstone, (open wheeler)
Overcast gives me 98-112 fps, The same settings but with light cloud i get 96-127 fps.
So the top is cut off and the maximum is less, but the minimum is almost the same, and that is the most important one for me.
So minimum fps is almost the same

Are you talking about maximum or minimum fps ?

    Formula USA Gen1:

Within the new version 1.3.5.0, the wheel weight of the Reynard cars still feels extremely light compared to the Lolas, they have the same specs, though.
The game also loads double liveries again when using custom skins (as it does in other car classes like Formula V12 or F_V10_Gen2, too). So, you are still driving against yourself in some classes. 2 years after release, it would be welcomed if this annoying bug could finally be fixed.

Track & Layout Used: Imola GP
Car Used: Formula Ultimate Gen 2
Applicable Settings: I have tried 2 different temperatures, both on soft tyres (haven't tried other tyres), default setup
    Report: Tyres lose temperature quickly
Steps to reproduce: Drive a few hotlaps

I have noticed it is incredibly hard to keep temperature on the soft tyres.
On a cold-ish day (7th April, 14:00, track temp. around 17C), the temperatures dropped significantly, down to even 58C, after just a few laps of hotlapping.
On a hot day (3rd August, 14:00, track temp. around 40C), the temperatures didn't drop as significantly, but even after 3 hotlaps the temperature dropped by 5C, and could only be recovered after vigorous tyre warming.
I may be doing something wrong, perhaps not pushing the car enough, but I still think that, given it's soft tyres on a hot track, I feel something may be wrong.
