We are running a "F1 through the years championship" with our RPM League on Justrace, starting the 22nd of may, going from old to new, because a lot of these cars are really good, and fun to drive.
RPM League Presents: F1 Through The Years
so not just the retro/classic/historic but also the newer ones

Don't think its an MP4-4 as that will most likely be part of a DLC

You're probably right, I'm pretty ignorant in terms of historic F1. The dates I verified on the list were for when the car was introduced, not the whole span when it run.

Not sure if this has been answered before, but is there a reason I can enable mandatory pitstops in lap races but not in timed races?

For those interested in GT3 cars (also ARCs) going around Bathurst in real life.
Live Timing - LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour

The next practice session starts in about 45 mins.
TV coverage starts tomorrow, I think.

FSR 2.0 is about to come out. Can developers implement this in AMS2? It will help improve fps significantly.

Why have you got so much roll turned on?, this looks nothing like a V8 supercar? i am surprised your not falling out of the side window when you turn a corner :)

Thx for a great sim and the hard work to update the sim every month.
As an only multiplayer i would highy appreciate some love into that aspect of the game.
Im still having trouble finding lobbys even at peak time (EU) and some nights i logged off after 20-25 minutes without racing.
Perhaps single player mode would be more interesting for me if it would offer more options and a better progression. Id much rather se focus on this aspects then new content. Perhaps we will see this after the rest of the DLC packs are released.

    From a devoted fan :)

I'm loving most of these cars, but I was trying the GT4's and I didn't think the Cayman felt so great. The McLaren 570 feels feels awesome though. Is there something wrong with the Cayman, or is it just how its meant to feel? I'm not getting that gritty tire feedback sensation that I now get with the other vastly improved cars on the list

This is due to my head movement (TrackIR), I often tilt my head a lot when cornering

Maybe it's just not your personal preference. IMO it drives better than it ever did.
Just because anybody doesn't like any car doesn't always mean, there must be something wrong with it.

    Don't forget setup resets btw.

For me it drives great, but the FFB tends to get very light when you're starting to understeer in this car. You get used to it, though, and from what I heard from real drivers the wheel indeed gets lighter when the car understeers. Maybe the effect is just a tiny bit too strong in this car, or at least stronger than others.

Do you use the default or default+ options for your ffb ?
I've noticed recently that these have a hugely overstated sense of grip loss very early on in the understeer effect . Have found that some of the custom ffb files deal with this much more progressively , give it a shot if you haven't already , you won't regret it .

I drove all the GT4 cars yesterday and they felt great. I then tried the GT3 cars and thought that the 911R felt a lot different from the other GT3 cars. I know it's 100 or so lbs lighter than the others but there is 300+ difference in the GT4 class and I didn't get a similar feeling between any of the cars.

It maybe feels too light? This is with Default+ and the default setup.

The cup cars didn't also didn't have the same light feeling. Could you guys give it a go to see if it's just in my head or if you feel it too?

I use default+ with no effects, no damping, as pure as possible. It works well for me. For me, FFB is about getting used to the provided sensations and learning how to handle them. I don't usually tinker with FFB a lot, just regulate peak force in a car-by-car basis.

My feeling is that you feel the front of the car a lot more than the rear through your wheel. And this car as a lot less weight in the front due to engine placement and general weight distribution. Maybe that's why it feels so light?

I was surprised about the handling of this car. Coming out of the GT Classic ('74 Porsche 911 - I don't drive F1 cars in general) the formula Vintage felt (to me) a lot like the GT Classic cars . A lot of opposite steering made me smile big time. It was really like Charles Le Clerc.
