Is it just me or was the forum site down in the UK for a good, like, 5 hours? Glad I didn't miss anything important at least

If the forum displays something like can't connect to server or so you've to bash F5 a few times. I tried to flush my dns, but doesn't work :D

There was indeed a down-period when it didn't work.

But as a general reminder, don't forget to run CMD as administrator, when doing flushdns.

On the subject of current GTs I'm just over here thinking an update to the GT3 models would be nice, an AMG Evo wouldn't take much work if nothing else and I'm extremely biased towards the 991.2 R but maybe I'm just being a wishlister again :p

It's been hinted at a few times, I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen next year sometime but the next big changes for GT3 racing will be in 2024 when GT3 has the new aero packages for WEC/Le Mans racing (replacing GTE).

However...we could definitely use the GT3/GT4 Light categories from the Imperio Endurance series...

Remember GT3 etc in AMS 2 are brasil spec. So anything new will be brasil spec, tho.

I dont know if we want Raceroom’s multiple GT3 classes (where the cars differ in BoP and year), so make the one GT3 class good for global GT3 racing, especially as this class will be racing everywhere from Le Mans to Cascavel

To be fair, we already basically have a comprehensive list of every F1 era from 1967-2022 (the only eras I can think of as missing are the 50s up to the early 60s, 1992-3, 98-2000, 2006-08 and 2014-16 but really I'm nitpicking with some of those, the only difference betwen FCG3 and 92 cars and 98 vs V10G2 is the driver assists, multiple and none respectively so there's pretty much "close enough" representation)
I'd argue we have more than enough F1 content really, enough to spoil historic fans like me for choice quite a bit

There are more historic series than just Formula. Sports Car and Touring cars series since the 60's are only superficially touched at by AMS2. Those classes always had more diversity than any formula.

The Brazilian GT3 class is only BoP'd by weight, with older cars in the GT3 Light category. Who knows what they will add to the custom championship files, maybe people will eventually be able to make their own BoP system someday?

For the formula topic...can we please have a 1.5L class? We can move the focus to 60's and 70's sportscars after that...

I absolutely love the 50's cars (sportscars and formula cars) but they don't fit the tracks we have so maybe a later addition.

Small things like this are neat. Would this be considered one of the low hanging fruits?

Is visual tire wear in general in game? I remember AMS1 had visual flatspots but I don't know if AMS2 has that feature (or flatspots at all, come to think of it)

Visually, no. Physics wise, yes (from what I can tell).

I did a test for this in several cars. Put the brake bias forward, lock up and just plant the throttle. You'll feel vibrations start to build up and you'll be more likely to lock up. Keep doing it and the front axle rattles like mad.

Particularly an annoying feeling on the g29 due to its internal gear system, which is a good thing and put a smile on my face when I found out flatspots are a thing in AMS2.

Now if we could have visual tyre degradation, that would be cool.
