Porsche 962C at Buenos Aires #12 is bliss. The car has lots of power to reach very high speeds (320 km/h at the end of the back straight), downforce to corner like mad (+280 km/h exiting Salotto Sweeper), yet enough mass and inertia for not letting you take the esses and Salotto flatout, meaning that some finesse on pedal dancing is required to balance the car at insane speeds.

Track is simple and addictive, and also provides great racing because of the draft lock. It should become a fan favourite and a staple on public servers, no matter your car choice.

With regards to supposedly “tame” driveability of some cars, while physics for recently revised cars may still receive a few minor adjustments, it’s worth noting that default setups are generally set in that direction with a healthy dose of understeer - stiffening rear suspension, a couple of clicks less rear wing when that’s an option along with more agressive diff settings may be needed for those final 1-2s in lap time, and that’s when things get more tricky :)

Is there any way tk have a "safe" and a "fast" setting in the setup page?

It doesn't help, only makes driving those bricks even worse.

I do not know exactly what makes me feel disgusted when driving the GT3 and GT4 classes, they simply feel like a car you use to commute rather than to race. Can't see their appeal, other than they look gorgeous. Not that I'm fast, quite the opposite actually.

Just to be clear, I find them boring on any sim, not just AMS2.

    • Extended FFB fade in after pause
    • Yes and also after rolling starts!
    • Depending on grid position sometimes you happen to be in the middle of a corner when control is handed to you and for the duration of the fade-in you have no feeling in the wheel and often just get punted off. Please fix!

    Irrelevant...:D

^This is clearly the issue!! There, solved... You're welcome!:p

Nah, I hear you... I avoid rolling starts, except when there's no other way.
Maybe fade-in should happen at a quicker rate?

Longer term, a couple of extra baseline setups are on the cards. Not very viable while physics have been in constant development for 100+ cars :)

To avoid a strange moment getting control over the car during a rolling start it is best to do it all manual, and include a formation LAP.
This is not about FFB fade-in, The fade-in is the delay between having control and getting FFB.

The PC2 system of ‘loose’ and ‘safe’ defaults were a bit unintuitive in the way they were saved and loaded, so I would suggest ‘reset to aggressive’ and ‘reset to safe’ buttons in the pit menu to replace the ‘reset to default setup’ button that exists currently.

Or compromise: "Reset to default agressive" and "Reset to default safe" ;):D
