I think there is some confusion still regarding the use of PC2 assets in AMS2, so let me once again try clarify that :)

We had a number of tracks and car assets from Project Cars 2 supplied to us with the licensing arrangement for the use of the Madness engine, and that deal went both ways with some of our assets being supplied to them - it was a super helpful arrangement that helped us speed up production of some of these assets considerably, but this was a finite list of assets we requested and mostly already used (only a few more car models to come for AMS2 are still based in the Project Cars 2 models).

For the tracks, we only used their trackside objects - the main terrain & track mesh was always either remade from scratch or heavily modified; the car models in turn had fewer alterations but naturally scratch built physics and sounds.

There are no more track assets to be used and we can´t just keep coming back to that well anymore, not least because the well now belongs to a different owner :) So the impression we can just keep coming back for more PCars2 assets or that you may see other PCars2 tracks in AMS2 just because they were in PCars2 has no basis in reality.

In a related topic I´m constantly bewildered by the assumption some make that we just "ported" PCars2 assets to AMS2 - you can´t possibly drive any track currently in AMS2 vs their equivalent in PCars2 and still think they are the same :)

By all means feel free to share this bit of info wide and large folks, as it´s quite a nuisance for our track artists that so many people still think the results of the countless hours spent in these big projects is just a rehash of a model already seen in another game :)

With regards to the possibility of us doing more "generic" versions of real life tracks, while I wouldn´t outright rule out that possibility it´s heavily unlikely that we would do it specially for a track like Le Mans, which is a massive production that would net little return if we were unable to market its existence in the game. If there is ever a Le Mans in AMS2 (and it´s not impossible there will be), it would be an official, laser scanned version of the track.

Just create a generic one and called it "Le Womans," I am all for it. Or how about a generic Bannochbrae and called it "Ban no brake."

My guess would be the Astons and the Nissans, i believe the Astons from the screenshots had the exact same livery as the one in pc2

The Nissan R390 GT1 and the R89C were both in PC2 but they showed a different livery on one of the screenshots iirc.
I wouldn't mind more of the car models being taken over fully or as a starting point from PC2, they had so many cars that make fantastic fits for AMS2 (like the other GT1 or Group C cars for example) and to me personally the car models don't have to be 100% accurately detailed to the last screw like they strive for in Gran Turismo or Forza, if they look 'good' and feel great I am a happy with it.

I think that has more to do with the cars driving so much nicer in AMS 2 than Pcars.

Nah. Visually the track visuals are much better in AMS2. A curve actually has curved track border lines instead of a series of short lines at an angle. xD

Please tell me it's the Group 5 Porsche from pC2 being part of the few models left to port over. (There are a few to choose from in pC2)
