Length is only one of the parameters that influence car’s stability, but it does not determine it alone. There are many other factors, like the vertical and horizontal position of the vehicle’s center of gravity and the suspension. The lower placed the load of the car, the more stable it becomes. Also harder suspension will make the car easier to steer, while decreasing the level of comfort on uneven roads.

Finally, depending on the shape and wind resistance of the vehicle body

When the vehicle is running at high speed, because of the difference in shape, it will affect the difference in its vertical velocity and generate lift. This affects the stability of the car. Simply put, the shape of the car will directly affect the wind resistance it faces when it is running at high speed. The greater the wind resistance for the car, the speed at which it travels will change, and it will also increase fuel consumption. Therefore, the design of some sports cars and racing cars will design the body to be very light. In order to overcome the lift and even obtain more up and down pressure, a lot of effort has been made in styling.

You are wrong: length of the car means they have more space and surfaces to direct the flow of air and engineer all of those tricks they like so much. The height at which they place items and their resulting COG has nothing to do with it.
Second point: with crash tests becoming more stringent they need much more length of carbon fiber to absorb the energy of the hit so cars become longer.
There is nothing else attached to the length.
Therefore, reducing aero tricks and putting a limit to length is advisable and in fact the 2022 cars are already shorter and the next gen will be even shorter. They won't be able to go back to 80s/90s size because of the crash tests requirements.

I thought the lengthening of cars was due to chasing the smallest frontal area of the car.

The longer the car to more gradual is the deflection of the air flow to go around it. It reduces drag and turbulence. Gives more downforce and much more top speed.
Also the more the surface (because the car is far longer) the more the downforce you can generate. That is why aerodynamicists love truck sized (in length) cars.
From crash test standpoint the nose is almost half of an 80s total car length. Same is with the rear crash structure. Every time they increase the loads it increases almost directly the length.
So with the sizes at the front and the rear ballooning due to crash tests requirements aero specialists want to enlarge the part between the wheels to get better aero and at the end you have a 6 m car and they can't remain below 800kg while in the 80s/90s with far heavier materials they were 525kg only.

I love this very relaxed speech. „… sooner than you may expect“
    GREAT

Not sure if this is the right place but did Reiza hire a social media manager or something as of late? Never seen them post something like this before

They should do a survey. What % of our Audience are on twitter?

I'll start the survey off. I have never used it. Shouldn't there be some hashtags in there to capture the attention of people who are not already familiar with the title?

Yeah probably, but I don't know, I just find it interesting seeing such a brand-social-media-y post (the scientific term right there :p) when Reiza, on Twitter at least, usually only posts devlog links and the occasional quote-retweet of other peoples' posts
Makes me wonder if they've got plans to expand their communications/reach outside of this forum

I only ever open it to look at Reiza tweets. Does that count?

The clutch thing also affects P3 and P4 cars. Changing it from 6 to 2 does get rid of all that twitchy throttle response, it's a huuuuge difference. Is it supposed to be that way?

I was ready to give up on continuing my P3 championship, and just switch to a different car/series, that's how annoying that issue was. Thanks so much for this post!

Reiza must launch a "#ACCdont" (like the good old SEGA's "Nintendont") asking players to "compare AMS2 vs ACC: who have the best F1 cars"

Yes, sir. The logic is universal and some setup formats usually work almost at the same way in these open wheelers or prototypes build through the 90 forward (compact cars with light bodies, good power/weigh ratio and a good chunk of aero). Won't make you go faster every time (sometimes you will need to work the power and cost of the diff and leave the clutches as default as possible).

Maybe Sunday? I seem to remember this being the day Renato got some coffee out previously and began typing. But then of course there's the proofread, which can easily take a month... :D

I eat scrambled eggs in the morning. :)

There's a lot going on in beta, just be patient, it will be worth it.

Just that announcements like these make it even harder to be patient. :D
