That's one of the biggest problems with pack racing in sims. It's really fun fighting in the draft on superspeedways, but once a big accident happens the field gets spread out. I have no idea how you would decide how big enough is worth throwing a yellow in a normal lobby, but it would be a cool feature.

 

Is a car stopped or below x speed on the race track if yes throw caution

 

It's definitely getting very close to my 'expected' time. As usual, no problems if there are some delays of course - that happens and I appreciate the polish - but I do hope there are some communications before the month is through with an update

 

Reiza has scheduled some additional tests with the beta players, things look very busy until Saturday so I wouldn't expect any news or updates this week.

 

Given the racing etiquette of public lobbies, every lap would be a yellow.

 

If it's getting delayed i would rather know sooner than later so I can take time off work

 

It sounds like they're crunching very hard ... I'd rather they don't overwork themselves, things get delayed a little (1-2 weeks), but with notice to us, there's some promotion for 1.4 in advance and we get a release that is in order.

 

Bang on. All it takes is a 1 line message explaining theyll overun abit and I'm sure everyone will be very understanding.That is if they think they'll overun.

Because beta is currently on 1.3.9.8 and last time around, they needed four days between 1.3.7.9 and 1.3.8.0. This time, there is much more to wrap up.

 

I've been finding that GT3 wet tires never get up to optimum opperating temps even whilst driving hard, and then when the track drys they overheat faster than paper hitting lava. Also the soft tires on the GT3's go off like a switch after only 2 or 3 laps of Donnington, they don't even gradually drop off, it is just like a swith. Granted i usually use same day weather and its been very hot lately, but the way this happens is just not right, and does'nt seem to be the same for the A.I.

 

Agreed on this. Communication and expectations are always key. Failure to communicate and missed deadlines as a developer just gets the impression that they are hap-hazard and throwing the update together with no clear end date in sight.
If on the other hand, delays are likely, then a communication to that effect, to shift expectations is all it needs. A developer with the correct fore-sight to see delays, is a developer who is FULLY in tune with their own code and dev cycles.

Neither has happened and I am just rambling. I still fully expect the release to be by month end, as we have heard nothing otherwise - and any missed deadlines surely would have been called out by now.
