I moderately understand that IF on Monday there is no dev update, some people is annoyed because there would be another missed deadline. And there was even no need to announce the dev update at all. But it's Friday yet.

What I don't understand is people saying "ok I'll play another thing until the update is released". You only use a sim after a released update? You buy a car and only drive it 50km and then you park in your garage waiting to buy a new unit?

Dw, the dev notes will get more hype than ‘rf2 is getting a caterham”.

its a strange thing that they choose to redirect the news off the steam page to the full page ont the website instead for sure. wonder how many people dont bother to click through.. ?

Id agree thats a silly choice. might be a content size limitation for steam? seems like a LOT of info / imagery and video for hey here s a new car.. but it does add to the hype.

MSG and Reiza have 2 different strategies for similar content outputs to be fair- drip feed announcing every new piece of content that's coming in a big pack (the Q1/2/3/etc packs in rF2's case) versus just saying "Hey, we're making a big pack, stuff's gonna be in it" and then dumping it all on release day

Yeah S397 going to announce a proper clut...nevermind...

I really like Reiza titles but also I like rF2 but the "I would but I can't" relationship ends in being frustrated as user...

...remembers me so badly a couple of girls I was used to see during high school...

With rF2 I feel like it almost more of a "I could but I'm not going to" thing, people have been asking for years for S397 to add hybrid support and their response always has been "we'll do it one day only when we make an hybrid car".
Which sounds fair until everyone is waiting on them forever because they also want to make hybrids for the sim, and when they make a 2022 style f1 car it has almost everything in the spirit of what we expected these cars to be except the non-hybrid engine.
And now they are finally doing it but I can't help but feel it's only because MSG f-ed it up with NASCAR 21 and now it's up to rF2 to have the BTCC cars (some of them hybrids) instead of the presumably canceled BTCC game.

I just hope they finally fix the issue for VR users and car headlights and rain completely tanking the performance even on the most powerful rigs. Also the AI isn’t consistent between wet and try tracks, difficulty wise. Too easy in the wet and too difficult in the dry. And a bit too predictable where their braking points are and still clumping together too much without taking much action on each other.

Yeah, the VR-headlight-performance-fix is my “most wanted” feature as the good VR performance (at least without the headlights) is the main reason why I prefer AMS2 as my go-to-sim. But would love to enjoy the day/night and weather transitions in VR too.
This and Zandvoort and then it’s perfect for me!
But I fear we won’t read this in Renatos development update soon…
I hope we will read ANY development update from Renato SOON… :D:whistle::oops:

Watching WTCR FP1 at the track right now, really makes you wish we had some of these cars in AMS2

Am I wrong in hoping Racin' USA pt. 3 won't be one-sided on its intent to add oval racing to AMS2? Seems wholly wrong to have Part 1 be enduro, Part 2 be CART/Indy 90s, and Part 3 be something like just modern Indy.

Well, i am kinda hoping for a nascar type car at some point, that would be a great addition to have as well, combined with the ovals

Same. I think Stock Cars would do just fine. Despite international audiences maybe looking down on the real life action, it's way more fun to get to drive it yourself.
