We still don't have the Brabham BT52 either so the FRetro G3 series is stuck in a limbo.

Is it me or the air intakes just below the windscreen of the DW-12 are weirdly narrow? Driver's gonna be cooking in there

Edit: I think I know what's going on, it's probably simply because of how lighting works in the Madness Engine, self-shadowing seems to be wanky. Just look at the 5th picture with the cart cars viewed from the front, you can see the shadow of the wings on the nose only starts after a bit, for the F-USA 22 it's probably because the air intakes are too narrow so they don't self shadow and the insides are lit but the sunlight, making the perspective all f-ed up.

They do cook in there hence the air hose that goes straight into the driver's helmet.

Yes, it is a nice track, so +Gateway, Fontana and this, is very good base for oval racing part of CART.

    Three questions:

1.) Will the ai in the indycars learn to use both the softs and the hards within a race? Alternate compound rules like this are also missing for the formula-ultimates. I think in these races, 2 different slick compounds must be used unless inters or wets are used at any point. (Which is why Ocon could complete the Turkish GP in 2021 without pitting once)

2.) Can front wing angles be adjusted at pitstops for formula cars where irl adjustment is possible? I think they can do this in f1 aswell.

3.) Will all formula 1 classes after and including Formula Vintage Gen2 receive Monza wings and setups?

(Can understand if not possible due to lack of reference material and workload for something extremely minor. Its like running the Gen1 but for Gen2 races but for 1 race on 1 track. Jacky Ickx won the British and italian GPs in 1969 and the brabham bt26a had a wing for Silverstone so it might not be non-authentic the way it is)[IMG]

To be fair, it wouldn't be that tough probably since compared to how tiny the wings of say, the V12-V10 era cars were in their low downforce trims the cars after about 2009 have pretty negligible wing differences per track

I know, that's why I'm wondering why they are so narrow, doesn't look like there's going to much hair going through to cool down the driver

I'm already planning my USA Gen1 season inspired in the 1998 CART season.
If I'm not mistaken, we can accurately simulate 7 of the 19 races of the season. For me its more than ok since I don't want to run a longer season anyway.

For my available time/skill I find ok to have 1/3 of the real life length for road courses, and 1/2 for ovals, here is the schedule:

    Long Beach (35 laps)
    Jacarepaguá oval (67 laps)
    Gateway (118 laps)
    Cleveland (33 laps)
US 250 (Daytona oval, 100 laps) (Why not? Another race at Fontana would be more accurate, or just skip it)
    Road America (17 laps)
    Laguna Seca (28 laps)
    Auto Club (125 laps)

Daytona is really adventurous. My experience racing with Indycars at Daytona/Talladega on iRacing is bizarre, but let's try it.

Honest question: if you're planning on 1998 how come you're using the Gen 1 cars (based on 1995) rather than the Gen 2s (based on 1998)?
Good calendar though, I ought to set up a custom championship or two myself when the update finally drops

The list of competing drivers was amazing and impressive!

Come to think of it, I hope the F-USA 22 gets a good visual damage model to go with the AMDM, something on par with the G1 (engine covers, nosecones, other parts) would be good for immersion
