It would be nice to know the feelings of the betatesters at this stage.
Know what works and what still needs to be fixed.
If they are happy with the news
It would keep us in a pleasant wait.
It would keep us warm until the 1.4 arrives
Or maybe there are agreements not to reveal anything until release?
    :) :) :)

Beta is in a branch called "notformedia" right now, which means no sharing of info on social media/videos/streams etc. for the time being. So you could call it a loose agreement, yes. :)

They may not look like that but if AMS1 told me anything they sure handle like it, understeer for days on end until they spin you like a top as soon as you hit the throttle

It's up in the air because I think Reiza stated that the RC model is the default update plan after 1.3.5 (which so far it has been) but also there's been a delay already and I'm pretty sure the devlog implied it wouldn't be for this one

Honestly, with the exception of AMDM and the F-USA 2022 am I the only one who's most excited to finally see the vintage tires get fixed up? They drive...fine, I guess right now but considering how night and day every tire overhauled car has been I want to see life breathed into the F-Vintages or the GTCs

Yeah they need an update badly, I expect a level of understeer from 1960s tyres but in their current state they handle like DFV-powered freight trains

From what I can tell reading the track's Wiki article, they just added a chicane to the entry of Eau Rouge and removed it next year. Nothing else.

    Absa-bloody-lootley!

Never understood putting racing behind a paywall (looking at you F1).
I mean, sure, a super fan will pay a subscription to watch all the content, but anyone who wants to dip in and out, or doesn't have the time or money to invest in a subscription won't be seeing ANY of the races or content.

How do they then expect to grow their fanbase?

I understand the need to make revenue, but why not put the main race on YT or free to air, then have the Practice, Qualy and interviews and behind the scenes stuff behind a paywall. That way the super fans can gorge on all the content whilst letting the mainstream watch the main event in turn bringing in more people and increasing subscriptions.

    Anyway, I don't know why I'm ranting.

I also have no idea what I'm talking about - I don't work in the media or anything.

    I'll shut up now.

    Much love to all
    :D

By putting things behind a paywell only when they think they have reached the maximum amount of people that will be ready to pay for what they previously could see for free. You grow a fanbase so you have enough people willing to pay at some point, and when you think the fanbase is as big as it'll get, you put in the paywall.

Eg F1 has been PayTV for ages in the UK, because there won't be much growth happening by making it free. F1 is not PayTV in the US, because there is some potential growing a significantly bigger fanbase by making it watchable for free.

F1 is not interested in the amount of fans, it is exclusively interested in the amount of money they can make off the fans.

Because frankly, the amount of people ready to pay for seeing the races is astronomically larger than the amount of people ready to pay for a free practice. There is no such clear distinction between "super fans" and "other people", there is a lot of people with a passing interest (and enough money) that exclusively want to see the races, too. As evidenced by the fact that the race highlights get about three to four times the views as the free practice highlights do on YouTube (and almost double the amount of qualifying highlights). The discrepancy is likely higher for the live views, too.

You might not like it - and I don't, too - but the business model of F1 these days is very reasonable from an economics point of view.
