“Hello .... is this your new custom file?”

No nothing new about it , i’ve had it in this state for months, Tumi has recently tweaked levels to suit stronger feel.

“Non c'è niente di nuovo, ce l'ho in questo stato per mesi, Tumi ha recentemente modificato i livelli per adattarsi alla sensazione più forte.”

after 2 and a half years you'd think there would be a guide on what can be editied and the commands to do it, but nope

Wow! I am using this file with my DD2 and it feels amazing!
Grip Loss in fast corners / puddles? YES!
    Compression under high downforce? YES!

    very nice!

I use the following in game setttings:
    9523F98B-B4E2-4304-BA0A-3CED03A82BDC.jpeg

    DD2 Wheelbase
    Sen auto
    FFB 55
    Peak
    NDP 5
    NIN and NFR off
    INT 5
    FEI 70
    FOR, SPR and DPR 100

    works great for me!

    thank you very much!!!

ok now this is what the default in game ffb SHOULD be, this is much better, the games defaults are a mess with too much stuff going on making the wheel go from light to heavy all the time, irl a steering wheel has a fairly constant resistance

Experiment with the values in these sections and maybe it can work for you in a custom file.

    1. (velocity_res_scale 0.34) #How much velocity affects resistance on steering (turn up to reach more easily the target angle_d_l & angle_d_r during the curve). (edited)
    2. (velocity_res_offset 0.66) #How much is the resistance on steering at velocity 0.
    3. (vel_rot_scale 1.04) #How much velocity affects lateral force (high for more travel_l & travel_r or down for less). Use for filler wheel during rotation of steering wheel. (vel_rot_limit_coef 1.08)

@Thompsonbra this file is a nice alternative to those that generally like the feeling of the default FFB but without the snap oversteer on coner exit. Very nice work. These are my settings on my t300

    In game is 70/5/30-35/0

Folks, a heads up that too long/complex Custom FFB files can exhaust memory and cause issues like 3D drivers appearing as red blocks or cars being plain red liveries. Good to have an eye on that when testing the files. :)

A file example that has caused it recently:
    rFuktor 5.0.1.4 - "ATMOS 4.1 (4xFX.1WHEEL)" MOD V. 1.1 (With & Without YAW)

The behavior you describe is likely related to the Damper setting. It's what happens with too little Damping in the game-ffb settings. Best to disregard other game ffb-settings, AMS2 ffb is different. Recommended starting Damping is 50%. DD wheels may require less, others may require even more.

You're right the wheel moving behaviour is better on Default+ with damping turned up.
Previously i had around 45-50 but trying much higher values even up to 80 helped the behaviour on my wheel. Although the steering feels rather heavy now due to the damping. Default+ is good as it seems to match the physics of the game and car much better than the Custom files.

With higher damping the wheel still moves around a lot more than the custom files but at least its worth for me to use default+ now, i reckon it still needs to be fixed in that aspect.
