It was closed before exclusivity was given to MSG and the exclusivity is not retroactive according to the contract. So in other words existing IMS licenses must not be canceled because of the exclusive agreement but new license can't be granted.

    1970s – a period of change
In February 1971, the bulldozers moved in and began a series of modernisations. Guardrails were installed and wider grass verges were installed across large parts of the circuit. The jumps at Kesselchen and Brünnchen were removed and many trees were felled to create better sightlines at key points. For the traditionalists, this represented a fundamental dumbing down of the circuit; viewed from the modern perspective, this seems a somewhat exaggerated response; the Nürburgring was still the most challenging circuit in the world and, some might say, remained the most dangerous on the F1 calendar.

Formula One returned in 1971, Jackie Stewart triumphing for Tyrrell. It's something of an irony that the man who campaigned most vociferously against the self-evident dangers at tracks like the Nürburgring in the 1960s should prove so successful here; his victory in the torrential 1968 race among the finest ever seen at the 'Ring.

Further changes came in the winter of 1972/73, when construction work on new bridges at Hatzenbach and Breidscheid began, allowing the course to pass at full width beneath them for the first time. Similar modifications were made to the overpass which took the circuit over the Poststraße. Elsewhere, a new entrance to the Südschleife was created further towards the pits, primarily to accommodate a wider entry to the Südkehre, removing the previous bottleneck and allowing the installation of new guardrails and grass verges.

Expect to be surprised when you try it then, as while the layout is similar (apart from the pit area), the circuit owners made many changes to retain the German Grand Prix with the growing safety demands being made by the drivers. This led to the jumps being made smaller and one removed altogether (the one at Brunchen, the short straight before what is now known as "YouTube Corner" was a big jump and is now pretty level).

I'm looking forward to it, and since we all want "more, more, more", wouldn't it be nice to have the Sudschleife too?

Awsome! Does this mean things like the longtail version of the porsche? Actually what are the current GT1's in the game running? Assume they are on normal downforce or high package. Will these downforces packages be visual aswell as physical?

Good news for people that love content, but, I confess I was expecting a bit more on the multiplayer front.... prediction code updates alone seems rather short for how weak AMS2 is on that front... not to rain on people's parade but this part of the game is light years behind.

Like the old Spa, I believe a lot of the Sudschleife is still there (see
    ).

Maybe they are implementing this fix now, but overhaul it in the future. Have it okay now, but make it superior in the future

This is awsome! I assume this means these cars will get oval setups (cambers, linners, jackers etc). And i can see why the A.I. would need specific work. But only thing i worry about here is where its stated 'physics' need sorting. Does this mean there is something inherently problematic with the pure physics of these cars? I have noticed some problems which must be related to tire and gravity physics, as some of the indycars even, whilst sitting on the grid at a banked oval before race starts, littlerally start sliding down the track to its inner part whilst stationary. This is definately a core physics problem that I hope will be resolved. I guess its a bit like when a car gets up on two wheels (oh and btw this is by no means a problem with this sim, they all have problems in this dept), at some point the car starts leaning on the side wall, and i guess tire grip physics just does'nt go that far, because you cannot ever get up on two wheels and hold it there like a stunt driver would, because at that point its like the grip defualts to either no grip (like in AMS2 and the car will then slide and come back down) or it just flips over in an odd way (like in Rfactor 2), in both sims the minis are a good example of this. Its kinda like the the tire physics just fall apart aftre a certain angle. Although i have to say i prefer the way AMS2 does it at the moment.

This makes me wonder. What is the longest distance track or largest map the Madness Engine can handle? AFAIK AC has a problem on some of the freeroam tracks where the FFB starts to suffer after a certain distance (it may have been resolved now by the modders, not sure).

Ilya fixed that by modifying the whole ac physics engine to double precision. Now SRP Tokyo runs like a dream.

There's a version for rFactor 2, but it makes the Nordschleife feel like Mallory Park.

I dont play online at all in any racing game so I dont know that master looser guy and I'm not doubting you or anything, but your "evidence" is that he is in first place in the leaderboard? Or am I not seeing something?

I know a few folks who really like the radar system in ACC, this looks similar (im not going to get into the controvesy over the coder as I don't know much about him). I can see how this is useful when a car is right beside you for an extended amount of time, however (and I've been meaning to say this for a long time). I would absoloutely love to be able to have the option of an Rfactor 2 style, 3 virtual mirror (left, centre, right) layout at the top of the screen! I absoloutely love this, because when you are on single screen, for me, this is the best option! In a real car you don't look at a radar, you glance at your mirrors. On a screen that does'nt have the width to see them, virtual mirrors are great as they're just like having real ones, only squeezed in a bit. The only thing I don't like about them in RF2 is that when you turn them on, you can't turn off the cars real ones, which can get confusing if you can see all the virtual ones and also parts of the real ones which a part of the virtual one is obscuring. PLEASE Reiza can we have the radar AND the virtual 3 mirror system. Please please please with slicks on top! From an enthusiastic customer!

Awsome, great to hear! Love AC (apart from the odd kerb behaviour)
