In the annoucement it says its a colaboration between BMW and iRacing, so hopefully no WEC or IMSA exclusivity shenanigans.

Can i ask for a real needed content?
Can you give us a stable game with a great multiplayer..... Without this AMS2 its only a warm up game ..... sorry Reiza not in this way..... you are run out of time.....
And yes i know some people disagree my post but you have to admit quality is better then quantity...

The 499P would've been a lot more awesome if they had chosen golden rims. Come on Ferrari! Isn't that a tribute to this machine?

    Disappointed.

Edit: Thanks for the update, great read as always. Looking forward to the new old Spa and Nordschleife tracks, and the Corvette ofc.

I'm not angry or anything, I think it's valid criticism over the multiplayer part, even if I dont use it, but it's funny how you cant speak of new content wishes and speculation in this forum without someone showing up and saying "oh and about the multiplayer huh?". I guess the multiplayer people feel the same way about people that expects new content. :D

I am a Toyota fan since forever, but I would not be mad if that beauty wins Le Mans.

AMS2 has more content then every other game out there......the content is great but when we can't use it in a good playable way then this content its not worth the money.....

    • Finally, classic Spa - very excited to this; however bad the comms have been about it I've no doubt the circuit itself will be a masterpiece
    • And if we get the Nordschleife 1970s version along in the next few months too... holy moly!
    • Very happy to see the high/low downforce trims being rolled out, especially for the sports car classes - thanks for this initiative
    • Low downforce track sounds...... tres promising. I hope there are historic variants too for 70s and 80s - always wanted a historic Thruxton!
      • If it's actually, 'that French track', I don't care a jolt if it's the PC2 70s version copied and pasted (which I know it won't be). That said, there would hopefully need to be some matching content for it.
    • Corvette GTP is a weird one I didn't see coming and it's a bit dated to run next to the Group C cars but should be fun together on the same grid regardless
    • Great news about Indy, especially glad to see the pics of the road course in there
    • AI improvements are one of the top things I look for in any patch - especially if they start racing each other rather than being stuck in a 'snake' I'm really looking forward to this one
    • The mechanical damage is a great step forward so glad to know this will become more of a default, rather than existing only on a few cars
    • Still have fingers crossed for two specific bits of functionality
      • Ability to change my in-game display name - please!
      • Ability to select opponents by livery
    • And my usual content request for more 70s GT/touring content to match the incredible offering of circuits - please beg BMW and Ford very nicely to let us have a classic CSL v Capri duel...

Right, a quick moan about communications but I'll try to be constructive. Firstly, thanks for committing to a two monthly dev blog and for promising an updated roadmap for targets for remaining season pass content (especially the historic track packs please!).

But to pop up now, when vintage Spa is ready and say "the reason it's taken two years is that we had to do it from scratch..." - why do we only find this out now?

Couldn't that have been stated a long time ago and various progress screenshots added to the dev blogs? "Here's an update on our plan to get new LIDAR data", "here's a pic of us playing with the point cloud", "here's a render of the houses at Masta" etc.

Is there a reason it's been completely secretive for nearly 2 years? You can't show or mention something about it without the licence holders' permission?

I understand the original monthly structure to the dev diaries was unsustainable - even though I probably wouldn't have bought in as early if you didn't do them back then - and thanks for taking steps to address that, but there's also been a sea change from happily showing WIP to basically only showing things that are finished and, for me at least, that's a change for the worse. I get that things like the Nissan pics may not be wise, but updates on things you have confirmed

Anyway, more important things in Brasil this weekend, I still enjoy these updates and the progress made to the game but please continue to improve the comms around the announced (and pre-sold) content's development.

Of course, it's a valid criticism as I said, for you it's not worth now because you expect a good mp, in my case I'm a single player person so I think it's the best money I've spent in sometime. But I'm sure that there is no way reiza is not looking at some definitive solution for the mp, well, at least I hope so.

@Renato Simioni can you please answer this question? The choice to build AMS2 with the Madness Engine was the idea to build a singelplayer (offline) game or a multiplayer game? 2 years later do you think the choice was or is still a good choice?

I'm one of these weird people that believes actions speak louder than words. (I know, novel concept in the era of virtue signalling)

Hasn't the simple fact that over the past year or so, every update has been focused on AI and content, and custom seasons, and reworking the physics, and NOT multi-player tell you everything you need to know?

AMS does not need Muitlplayer to compete as a sim racing game. Especially when the games it would he completing with were in development before Reiza actively existed as a studio! (GT Sport/GT7, Iracing) It would he nice, and I'm sure we'll eventually get there. But what is this obsession with AMS becoming a multi-player focused sim that you can label rewriting the physics 4 TIMES as quantity over quality? I'm sorry, I don't understand that mindset.

In fact, my experience has been completely the opposite.

If anything, the quality has massively overshadowed the quantity because of the entire 2022 season pass, Reiza is only going to release 1-3 things on time unless they dump it all on us as Christmas. Reiza has cars so Good the license holders called and they want to ditch their current contract with another game studio and work with Reiza. They have 2 tracks that had to be rebuilt fom scratch. How is that not quality in your eyes?

Did you play AMS1? If so, did you really focus on racing the bots?

Cause from what I remember AMS1 was mainly used in league racing, hence why it is naturally expected that AMS2 would follow that, don't you agree?

AMS1 remains my 2nd most played game on steam with the only other exception being train simulator at 3xx hours, not a single second of which was online.

I confess I understand why leagues would be attracted to it. It was basically Rfactor but better in every way. Plus the stock contact came with a lot of single make classes That could easily be reskinned to be used for the competition. So I get that...

However I remember in the development logs when AMS was being updated, It was the same sort of thing AI upgrades especially in regards to aggression, Constant optimization of performance and physics, and adding features like custom season...

I'll be honest, I spent most of my time playing with the remade virtual lemans pack Racing the group 44 jaguar, or attempting to master the formula classics. Had a blast, and thats want i wanted from ams 2. That feeling of driving only live for speed and ams have cracked, just with more stuff.

I think it might be a separate class with it in GTP. They might still work with Group C but there definitely will be some performance discrepancy.

Similar to Pcars 2 Nissan GTP that destroys the Group Cs.
