Yeah the GT1s says it is low downforce on Fontana but I don’t see any physical changes to the car as compared to say Monaco unless I am missing something.

I didnt actually entered a oval race, but I looked at the GT1 cars in the viewroom, I think for Daytona... not sure. The visual differences are basically that they go back to the front aero it was before 1.4, and the rear spoiler is a bit smaller.

For the Merc it is the front winglets as well as the rear spoiler lip that is different, for the Porsche it is the full front splitter and the winglets and for the McLaren just the front winglets.
A bit of a shame for the McLaren, as that car raced with a different rear wing quite a few times as well, might be cool to have them as a option in the setups or something to increase rear downforce.

Ah I tought this rear wing was something from the longtails that raced the JGTC only, that one was used in wich kind of track in endurance? Or it was something from the early life of the car or something?

It was raced at different higher-downforce tracks like Donington, Spa, Mugello and Suzuka in the 1997 season.

As it was already mentioned, they need a fix to show up correctly. We are aware :)

Folks, keep politics out of these release threads. It doesn't belong here. No matter how understandable or righteous the motive is, it's about sim racing here.

I've asked you at various occasions to avoid it!

    Cheers.

Is your monitor desktop refresh set to a different Hz than ingame resolution?

Has the non-fix of the TC ABS bug been acknowledged and reproduced? I´d really prefer not to go another 2 months before the next patch and see it still not fixed then either as per Nvidia drivers.

Could you be more specific? To reproduce, steps for it would be helpful. The TC/ABS bug was identified and corrected. If there is still an issue, it's a different one.

Specific is hard as this has always seemed to have been a random bug. I listed it yesterday in the bug report thread but to give more colour, I was using the Gr A Mercedes with ABS and real aids option enabled on Spa 1970. First few sessions were fine but then all of a sudden in a qualifying session the ABS stopped working, as per usual. Moving to the race did not fix it. It started in MP mode with AI cars enabled and me as the host and carried through to SP mode. I didn´t restart the game as I´d had enough by that point. I had being using other cars with no aids before the issue started. I also used GT4 cars before it happened with no issue. There were no other users in the MP session to check if it affected them.

Was the ABS symbol shown in the big RPM widget of the HUD? (not greyed out)

Have you mapped your "ingame aids" (the ones that cycle low/high/off) and when you cycle them, are they bringing back driving aids?

Initially the ABS light was going orange when the ABS kicked in but then it stopped and the wheels started locking up. I have TC levels mapped but not ABS and that car does not have TC so I couldn´t test that. With the McLaren GT4, the only car I tried with both, everything worked fine. I only tried Spa 70 track. I only briefly tested the GT4 though and the Merc Gr Aissue took several sessions to appear. Interestingly, the car also felt quite twitchy in terms of grip too when the ABS disappeared but I didn´t try other cars afterwards as it was getting late.

I usually start a session before driving by adjusting the free cam with Ctrl K so next time I play I will try not doing that to see if it could be an unintentional trigger or perhaps a double key bind and I´ll try with a car that has TC too.

Has no one else had the issue since the RC?

So to be clear: The ABS light was still white, but not flickering orange anymore when the issue appeared?

We have 100% found the cause for the driving aids bug that is debated, it was affecting ABS, TC and also stability control actually (rare aid, but still). We're very likely looking at a different quirk here.

Grey not white IIRC and there was no visual message the ABS had been turned off. I only realised when braking for the chicane as the light stayed off and the wheels locked up.

I had something similar online yesterday. Can't remember the exact car, but it was an older tintop and I was surprised during qualy to see that ABS was working. (flashing orange during heavy braking)

Into T1 in the race and huge lock up. Noticed that ABS was greyed out in the hud widget. Not white, but completely grey.

My aids are set to authentic.

Cool. Yes, it´s important to clarify that when the issue started the ABS was greyed out and not white, as you said. I also noticed earlier on the old 70s F1s that the TC light would sometimes flicker from grey to white even though those cars have no driver aids, which is another existing bug.

Tomorrow is a holiday so I can try testing this some more but if it is like before, it comes at random.

If I understand correctly, the lights should be white if the aid is available but not being triggered, orange if triggered and grey if off, so on cars that have them when "authentic aids" is on or lobbies with those aids forced on they should show up either in white or orange but not grey.

    Okay!

This can also be down to optical illusion depending on what cockpit you use in the background. It then looks like there would be a flicker but it's actually coulours. This kind of flicker isn't really logically possible even by any bug.
