Automobilista 2 V1.4.3.3 & Racin´ USA Pt3 Officially Released!

With really fast formula cars, like Classic Gen 1, 2 and 3, you beat them by miles even at 120%, because they might be using some kind of default setup, which is way too slow for this fast track.
But it is still beta and I guess that those monsters, especially the turbos, are not meant to go on such a track.
It is fun to drive them there, though.

I suppose the Vin. G2s need a bit of adjustment too. So far I've been using a fairly soft and conservative setup with plenty of DF in order to properly learn the track, but I can easily take the lead on the first lap at 100/50, which usually puts me in the middle of the pack on other tracks. They will keep up and stay right behind me though, but still.

I guess that hut and the billboards right of eau rouge are missing, or they got rid of them for 1970 as theres no armco in the left photo

I think I speak for all of us when I DEMAND that Reiza put a model of the girl in the headscarf onto that wall.

Just did a short race at Spa 70 (fast chicane) with Retro Gen 3 at 120%, starting from pole. I was 35 seconds ahead after just 3 laps and I am just a mediocre driver who does not know much about setups. So,the aliens would lap the whole grid pretty soon.

 

in these old days folks did stand so unbelievebly close to the racetrack, policeman, photographers, private folks,... plz bring it on.

Thank you for the response. I did some testing in the previous version and the release candidate with AI set to 100, in the rental kart at ortona kart 1. The AI is 5.5-6 seconds faster in the release candidate. High 1:18s before, 1:13s now. I've not seen the same benefit. I'm in the 1:19s on both versions.

I've been asked alot over at the Racedepartment forums how the multiclass racing is them. Well I've been trying it out. Two words. Fecking Fantastic! I've got one hell of a video on the way to prove it! Best multiclass racing I've ever had with A.i. in any sim, ever! Infact, some of the best multiclass racing I've ever had full stop!.
