Automobilista 2 V1.4.3.3 & Racin´ USA Pt3 Officially Released!

I don't know if that was mentioned, but I think something is wrong with low-downforce setups. I mean those are clearly meant for ovals, but somehow this setup is also loading for Super V8 in Monza, so by default car is going slightly to the left instead of straight. Don't know how it is in other cars and tracks, I've just encountered that with that car/track combo.

Edit: same thing with stock car, so I assume Monza is tagged as a circuit for low-downforce variants of a car if available, but it just don't work as it should, as it behaves like a setup for oval, which Monza is not

Yep. Cars drove the oval in counter clockwise direction in 1957 & 1958 called Race of Two Worlds (500 mile race) with F1 and Indycars participating.

I enjoy those high angle banks, but i don't wanna drive all that long classic track just to get to them again. Really wish they gave us the oval version.

 

I understood why they held back Daytona until we had the oval spec CART cars, but unless it's some issue with Monza not allowing it, I see no reason not to have the oval as an option. Setups would need to be mirrored, but that's an easy fix given we already have separate low df, short oval, speedway, and superspeedway setup categories. It would be cool seeing how a (relatively) modern oval open-wheeler would handle it.

 

The Monza oval is not a standard layout of that track in that era--it was rarely used. Creating an additional layout of an existing track is not a trivial task from a workload perspective.

Instead of seeing no reason, a better approach would be for a bunch of people to ask politely that it be added at some point in the future. You could start a poll in the appropriate section of the forum to gauge interest. We know Reiza always does their best to respond to customer preferences within their available resources. Just remember you'll be competing against all the other track and additional layout requests that are plentiful here in the forum, so even some people who would like the Monza stand-alone oval won't want it done ahead of their favourite track or layout that is not yet in the game

The oval only version was driven anti-clock wise, perhaps that is why it is lower on the agenda, if it is at all

I was actually planning to start a poll about these "forgotten layouts" once the Season Pass expired and we had a clear picture of what was included in Racin' USA, Historic Track DLC, and Adrenaline DLC. Things keep getting postponed/expanded, though! But if there is enough interest, I might start that poll already in the near future
