Mm Avus was 43 degrees or so( thanks for info not heard of it before).
The source pic shows usa track of 50 degrees and more! Madness suicide tracks lol.
though mainly bikes :)eek:kids poke their heads through boards!
For a span of about 25 years in America, the fastest racing venues in the country were not made of asphalt, concrete, or brick, but rather wooden boards. These tracks, which ranged from less than a half mile to two miles in length were quick and cheap to construct and drew fans by the tens of thousands.
They also birthed the first generation of hero American race drivers that the country had ever seen. Unfortunately, it killed the drivers about as fast as it made them legendary. Even worse, with banking angles that sometimes approached 50-degrees or more, the tracks killed spectators as well when cars and motorcycles would fly into the stands. The Motordromes were then called “Murderdromes” by the newspapers of the day.
From coast to coast, the tracks sprang up and the speeds grew and grew. The performances from drivers and motorcyclists are still nearly beyond belief today! This show tells the story of why the tracks were built, how the tracks were built, who built them, and why this bizarre racing supernova flashed so semingly fas t across the American racing landscape. This is this a story of suicidal speed and splinters. The story of American board track racing.

I used to hate on underglow, but my boss just added to his tour bus and it's slowly grown on me.

Hi, everyone! I posted my latest custom yesterday and said that you changed the standard and standard+ ffb. At full steering angle, there are no longer any high forces. This is very good because now there are no more dangerous situations with high end bases. But now comes the negative. Unfortunately, this created a brutal rubber band effect that is not good for the defaults

i don't understand why so many people are hitting the bump stops, you should never be steering this much in racing conditions

    Custom Championship GTE / GT3 / GT4 / GT Open
    17 lap race
Weather was default for the dates it set.
Within half a lap or less the track was very wet with normal rain , not heavy. Ai handled it fine but I couldn’t make a corner.

I think there is a bug causing the track to get wet and dry too quickly, happened to me a couple of times. The game has one of the best weather effects of any sim, but the transitions between wet to dry and dry to wet, need some work.

The Assetto mods of the NFSU2 & NFSMW maps are awesome if y'all haven't checked them out. Apart from the low poly road mesh, the maps hold up surprisingly well.

Okay some further details are needed:

Which date? (pick one of the 2 reported tracks)

Was real weather active or was it random weather?

What was race scale in championship main screen set to?

What time acceleration settings (real time or accelerated time)?

I'm usually close to the bumpstops through Loews Hairpin or on them if I overshoot the entry and have to steer more. Then I like to have my steering wheel stop and not go further than the in-game one.

There are situations outside of racing where bumpstops come in handy, eg. when you're drifting, spinning and countersteering, when you have to turn around after spinning or even out of the pits sometimes, if they're narrow enough and your steering lock is too shallow.

It's just a part of how a real car works and how the real life steering wheel reacts. You hit the bumps, you're not turning the wheel any further. Like manual engine start, it adds to the mechanical realism of the simulated car.

You even see it in the video Reiza posted advertising spa 1970's, where it went from dry to soaked almost instantly

    In my case;
    Brands Hatch
Cant remember the exact date, year was 1982 tough.
    Real weather
    100% scale
    Real time
Happened in Kyalami as well, with the same settings in a custom championship. In a span of 10 minutes the track went from dry to soaked to moist.

I’m glad it’s not just me and hopefully it can be sorted as Ams2 is my go to sim now.
There was a track reset bug where if you stopped the race and watched a replay and then resumed the track status would revert back to its original state.
I have no time tonight to see if this is still a thing , This was present in PC2 so maybe a madness thing.

AI is way too fast in wet conditions on slick tyres whilst player drives like on ice.

1950's scientists: *Uses math, deduction, and skills with engineering to harness the power of subatomic particles to create horrors the world had never seen before.*

Also 1950's engineers: "This tiny railing should keep cars from going into the spectators."
