    wet tyres on the jcw mini are completey broken, within 2 laps they are over 110 degrees in heavy rain

    Within 2 laps on which track, only the fronts or also the rears?

    any track, front tyres

    just tried gte at interlagos on heavy rain and went 1:34, which is almost as fast as a gt3 in the dry, somethings a bit weird there, felt like too much grip in wet

    I'm driving it right now, it's a bit slippy but i'm not going into 100°C+ territory without overdriving the car.
    Are you setting your live track preset to wet aswell or only rain weather?

    It sounds like you are driving on a dry preset (for both classes), which means the track needs time to rain in...this would explain the high GTE pace and the overheating wets. You're basically starting on a dry track that isn't even fully damp yet.

    im not sure on which lap as this was just after the beta was available and a few bottles of Red have gone down since.
    The grip felt very off compared to previous experiences also.

    If you have reports - be as detailed as possible and stick to objectivity.


    There is no value in "this is completely broken on all tracks" without knowing what settings you are on and what you did exactly,

    practice session at interlagos, current date, weather slots 1, rain, default progressing, 1400 start time

    feels like driving a dry track on wet tyres

    mini was same, also saw tarmac terrorist have same problem with mini wet tyres live on stream

    That's a dry preset! Your video also shows a pretty much just raining in track without puddles. GTE achieve sub-1:30 times at Interlagos in the dry btw., so you're already 5s slower than the dry.

    didn't look dry to me, was clearly standing water on the track by lap 2

    Set it to wet live track preset and test again. This isn't close to soaked...

    ok i understand, maybe the rain graphics need toning down in transition as it looks water logged yet is still dry in the physics

    Default Progression is basically you starting on a dry track and the track soaks in. Even on wet preset it can be random how much wet saturation the track already has btw., so expect it to vary a bit.

    But your time is already 5s slower than the usual GTE dry pace, they're no bad cars and with some pretty good technology.

    yeah i understand, it's just the track looks soaked and has standing water, the graphics show a much wetter track than is actually there

    It's water, not ice and a GTE with good aero and TC on wet tires. So it depends i guess.
    Checking GTE wets for wet grip is granted in each case though.

    An example how far wetness can go:

    Puddles like that aren't even visible in the video above yet, so the track isn't quite that saturated. The puddle isn't even at its biggest here, it's a good gauge how wet the track actually is. 20221107000117_1.jpg

    Just did Mini JCW at Kansai with rain and default progressing. After lap two laps the fronts got to around 95 but after lap 3 the track started to get small puddles forming and they never got back above 80.
