Hi guys! Since I don't have much time for the next few days, the Custom V45 is already available today. I don't think anything about the physics will happen anymore, only the standard and standard+ ffb has changed. I didn't count but I think it's over 50 changes in the V45 vs V44 file. The file is a steering axle based and a tire based custom file. You will set fast times with the custom because you have control of the car and the track, the feedback is amazing.
The changes of the V45 vs V44:
    1. The middle and center have been sharpened
    2. The front axle now has a lot more punch and feel
    3. Better tear feeling
    4. If you come off the track (grass) it will be clearly felt (Much too weak for V44)
    5. More stability and therefore a better grip level
    6. Street details even better to feel
    7. FWD cars the self-aligning torque of the steering axle has been corrected (on V44 it was set way too high)
    8. Adjusted values for acceleration and braking based on vehicle weight
9 . Due to the dominance of the rear axle in the V44 file , bumping could occur when braking in curves . Corrected for V45 by more pressure on the front axle
    10. More time to correct and react to grip loss
    11. Adjusted in-game values
    12. Adjusted base values for Fanatec dd1/dd2
    13. Example of settings for a T300 Belt wheel

I wish you a lot of fun with the Custom V45 and Ams2
    Greetings from Daniel

Yes! Even though I'm quite pleased with v44 with a minor tweak of the power_steering_angular value I can't wait to test the latest version.
Thanks for your efforts and thanks for sharing as always, it is a great contribution to a better experience for sure.

Hi, any chance of uploading the file for me? I had a housekeeping accident and deleted them all except the one i'm tweaking in the sim.
I also deleted the one from the other day as the clipping was still bad, it wasn't enjoyable.
    Cheers.

Hey @Alegunner68 , here is your file so you can keep improving it. I haven't had time to test it yet but I'm sure it will be at least as good as your version 3 which by the way is one of my favorite. Cheers mate!

wow! This update feels fantastic. I'm a DD2 user and this file brings out so much car and track detail that it seems real. I can especially feel the limit and catch the slides with ease. This file feels tailor made for my DD2 and I love it. Great job brother! Thanks!

Just wondering which values alter how heavy the steering becomes when you spin? All the files I have tried do a similar thing. They get extremely heavy on opposite lock. Would like to be able to reduce this effect. Thanks.

My friends and I have the same issue and is a real issue when using this file.

Try adjusting these values for the above issues.
    (velocity_res_scale 0.32) #How much velocity affects resistance
    (velocity_res_offset 0.66) #How much resistance at velocity 0

Can I confirm what Peter Stefanie says. My vel_res_offset is set to 0.63 but be careful with that as it makes the entire steering lighter. Also slip_crossover_line2_end_y makes it easier (1.4 for me) but at the same time it also changes the slip effect in time. I wouldn't lower the Veloc_res_scale too much because then you won't notice the downforce of the car as the speed increases. If you (Michael and 0ct0) are of course looking for more steering loss with grip loss then I would go with defaults

hi all. not really a custom ffb question, but it is relevant to ffb

I've been using the CSL DD since before Reiza updated the game to include a setup for the CSL DD specifically. I've been using the generic wheel and pedal separate profile for the wheel. I'm considering switching it to the specific CSL DD profile, but this would require re-mapping all the buttons which is a pain in the ass to do. Is there any tangible benefit to switching to that set up? In ffb quality, or other benefit. For instance, the funky switch twirl funciton isn't supported that I can tell.

    Anyone know?

Thank you both - I tried adjusting those values to no avail.

To be clear the effect is a wrist breaking 100% ffb snap on the wheel at the point the car comes to rest during a spin (so I'm told, as I never spin!) at the point there would be the least force you get all the force your wheel can supply in a jolt (In a real car it would be a bit of tyre sidewall springing back to normal shape but x100)

the force during the spin is as expected.

Try whipping the arse end of a Porshce around on a hairpin until it gives out.

I'll try tweaking a bit more

Can't you just create a new control set? You can have up to 5, and when you create one you can use an existing one as your baseline. If you don't like it, you can just switch back. Alternatively, just make a backup copy of your Documents/Automobilista 2 folder

thanks for the reply. Indeed I have multiple setups. But if I switch over to the CSL DD preset, I'll have to re-do the button mapping - and if there isn't a tangible benefit to switching over I don't wanna go through the trouble, right?

Anyone have a link to a walk through guide of creating a custom ffb file?

If you find something, please be sure to let us know. As you say, can be very hard on wrists.
