Quick question guys:

If you've already downloaded the RC build and its updates, do you then still have to download all of those updates again for the release build when its released or does it just sort of port you over with any additional updates being made on top of that?

Only asking because forgetful me has forgotten how it worked the last time around.

Released candidates are available for everyone, just go on steam in the game's properties, betas then select the release candidate build

 

Not that I remember, possibly some small update with some final finishes but it automatically switches over once the RC is finished

It will also automatically give you the latest RC when they next release one if you haven't opted back out

 

The changes to Spa 1970 are great. Makes the surrounding areas feel much more realistic and alive. Really is one of the best tracks in AMS2 or even sim racing in general at the moment!

 

Found this career mode mod on Racedepartment. I can't say if it's any good or not, will be back at my computer on Monday

I downloaded it and looked at it a bit yesterday. It's not flashy and relies on you to do some of the stuff like setting up the races, but I think if you commit to it, it would be a decent motivator to try out cars and tracks you don't usually drive, add a bit of continuity and some goals to your racing, and motivate you to race for position even if you're P18 or something.

I can think of multiple ways it could be improved in the future, but I don't know which of my ideas are technically feasible. Examples would be the app setting up championships for you and tracking damage taken in races to charge repair costs (maybe even fuel?).

 

we have a lot of layouts for beunos aires so this doesnt stop them. Its not like acc where you only have 1 layout.

 

I think in beta they have the oval and the GP layout for Indianapolis at the moment. Really hoping for the GT cars layout as well.

It appears that each layout is its own large file and also the seasonal foliage is also usually a large file per each layout. I have endless SSD space though.

In Steam right click on Automobilista 2/properties/betas/pre-release build DONE ps no code needed

 

and then just close it. Code not needed as it will begin to download automatically

 

They have done something truly amazing. The only issue I have is that I still haven’t been able to do a lap flat out yet as I keep slowing down to just to look at all the details they have added in.

 

I hope they do the nürburgring just as well! I have been there so many times myself and have had a time in my life when I collected hundreds of photos of this old circuit over the years. I can see every corner of the past. Spa they certainly did a very good job and the developer really listens to his fans. the track certainly exudes the atmosphere of that time. best Spa and vintage track so far!!!!! again i hope they do nürburgring as well with all the bee buildings. Does anyone know if there will also be a Sudschleife? And is Rouen also on the schedule? another magical race track with the first bend down to Six Freres I'm all the way back to Ams2 thanks to the vintage racing
