    I think that discussion was had before, I like having the cars perform similar to reality but the option to activate BoP for classes that don't have/didn't have it in real life would be nice for multiplayer.

    Maybe they can add custom BoP and have recommended BoP

    Server got reset a handful of times if I recall well. 3-4 I saw myself... I was told many more resets happened after I went to bed

    the first one in winter 2021 had server issues, but tbf they fixed the problems and they didnt materialise for the 2022 one.

    24 hour races are only not possible in ams2 (due to cursed p2p servers) and raceroom (doesnt have night ;))

    AMS2 is much younger and I have more faith in Reiza.

    What kind of crowd fund do we need to get started so we can get some more GTP, some GP Lights, and start getting some GTO cars in here to recreate stuff like this?

    yeah there's a real lack of sims that really use the american series outside of iracing, more imsa etc classic american stuff would be cool

    I will donate to this amd I wouldn't ordinarily donate to a game I've already paid for other than DLC but these cars are sorely missing in a modern sim.

    On shorter and twisty tracks it might balance itself out. On high speed circuits the C9 is absolutely OP. Had a few races at Monza '91, an absolute blast but the C9 destroys everything even if you have to be much earlier on the brakes. It's unbeatable, at least 2 or 3 secs faster than the other two cars.

    When we get that high speed circuit everyone's talking about it's going to be either a C9 fest or people set their lobby up for a 'one-make series' race. I predict the C9 is going to be easily 5-10 seconds faster than anything else.

    I think the idea is that historic cars have realistic performance, such that OP cars like the CLK GTR which dominated the real races also dominate in ams2, which allows for a more immersive single-player experience, but cars which are BoP'ed irl like GT3 have a per-track BoP in ams2.

    It would be useful for leagues to be able to apply a per-car ballast and boost %/power limit if aliens find a way to abuse a car, or they choose to run older cars like the Group C. I know you can do this in rFactor 2 with MOD files, but no idea if its possible in the madness engine.

    the c9 is already unbelievable at monza, but why cant Reiza balance this out by introducing that peugeot...

    Because they need to get the license for that Peugeot, and that brand doesn't seem to be the easiest to license

    The 905 would be amazing! One of my top 3 favourite sounding cars with Reiza's sound quality, it'd be fantastic, but I think the C9 would still be unbeatable. Too much power, too much of everything actually :D

    Peugeot beat them all at Le Mans in the 90's but sim racing is different.

    The thing is, it is a bit in the middle at the moment for GT1 in AMS2 I feel. In reality, the Merc was better on tyres (Bridgestone vs Porsches Michelin) and had far better qualifying tyres compared to the Porsche and was a bit better on fuel (at Le Mans one of the Mercs did a 13 lap stint while on the same pace as the Porsches while pretty much everyone else could only do 12) *EDIT: Also had 50hp more of course*, while the Porsche was easier to set up, better in wet/mixed conditions, easier to drive and pretty good on downforce-heavy tracks like Suzuka or the Hungaroring. The McLaren was only remotely close to the Porsche on tracks that were not downforce-focused but never close to the Merc.
    In AMS2 it feels a bit different, there are tracks where the Porsche is quickest and there are tracks where the Merc is quickest and the McLaren is generally about 1-1.5 seconds off on 1 lap pace, also the tyres don't feel like they reflect how they performed in real life as well.

    I don't know if the speed of the cars being so close in AMS2 is because the Porsche is easier to drive and setup in AMS2 as well though, but I am also probably not good enough to judge that completely tbh, maybe others here can give their observations on that as well.
