Maybe make the wheels toe angle to the left. I think it is what they use IRL so when the wheel is straight you turn left. Think it means you need less strain on the arms

Why does everything slide around so much? I did two races last night. One in the BMW GT3, was sliding around all over the place. Just drifting around corners in a GT3 car. Default progressing through Practice, Qualify and the race. Started cold weather (current date) and then changed to summer hot, no difference. Second car, 2020 Stock Car. Same thing. Give it a little gas, slide. Taking corners, it's just a drift with little solid contact. It's like the cars don't have weight to them. If I'm using racing slicks, which are meant to stick to a surface, then I should have a level of lateral grip that I can feel and be confident in until it breaks. Finding the line of where grip will break way is difficult in AMS2. After the 2 races I went to AC and then ACC to see what the differences were.
The best one word to describe the difference in AMS2 is "slidy".
This phenomenon where as you give a car gas and the rear end immediately shoots to the left or the right is bizarre. I've been to the track and I've done burnouts, I've never had a car shoot to the side like that. It will remain in place for a moment with the tires spinning before wandering to the side.
Do I need to delete some folder or reinstall the game or something zany like that?

Racin' USA pt3 available on Steam store (a little cheaper than previous US packs):
    Automobilista 2 - Racin´ USA Pack Pt3 on Steam

Several Steam store pages need updating though, there's often people asking questions about contents of DLC packs.

Was TC/ABS on? Delete the tuningfolders can't do any wrong. Just try it. And a verify cache is also nice.

i used to complain about this too, until i unlearned the binary on off throttle and brakes that acc had taught me, now i have much better throttle control the cars make much more sense, i think the TC isn't very good in ams2 tbh though, needs an overhaul

To me this is a typical reaction from someone who comes to AMS2 who is used to ACC or AC. To me it is not a physics issue but a "feel" issue. Try DanielKart's V45 custom FFB attached.

Ya, you pretty much have to do that or else most everything is undrivable. lol
I don't understand the philosophy of making you have to fight with the cars so much. Sure, some race cars were monsters to deal with but full corner drifts in a GT3 car by just turning the steering wheel?

    Steps you should try:
-reset to defaults in the setup screen.
-if you make any changes to setup save it as a new setup.
-always load your setup when starting any session.
-temporary setups with a * next o them can cause problems, if you see any setups with * next to them in the load setup screen delete them.
    -delete the tuningsetups folder

Even after doing all the steps above imo handling of cars in AMS2 can be very random, sometimes cars drive fine, sometimes those same cars with the same setups slide way too much.

I'm coming from AMS2 since it came out. I however like to enjoyed the other titles we have too.
In rF2 the car has weight, it's planted. I feel like when I overdrive the car, what happens is expected.
In AMS2 the cars are always on eggshells. Like there's not enough of a gravity coefficient.

I feel like the ABS is quite alright, but, as you say, the TC is a bit odd. Maybe if they also add TC2 to the game it can help, but needs some general improvements

IMO I think the grip level is fine and I would say very comparable to ACC. I actually think the GT3 cars in AMS2 are much more forgiving then in ACC.

However, one thing I do think needs tweaked is the tire sounds. The sliding/scrubbing sound I think happens too often and too soon. So it sounds like like the car is sliding when the car really isn't and when I still have plenty of grip available.

    @Renato Simioni
For the Pt4, please add an urban track like Detroit, Nashville or Toronto.
Nascar would be a great addition too.
    Thanks for the great job.

I believe you need to still be in RC - for the game tweaks - based on the note above listing the latest tweaks to the RC.

You can just stay in RC. You will get auto-switched to the main when the RC gets removed.

Default and releasecandidate are currently the same, they will remain so until releasecandidate gets a new build before the next big update - no need to switch out of it, unless you don´t want to receive releasecandidates in the future.
