Hi @Kuku Maddog I see you have an Alpha Mini. I have the Alpha. Just wondering which wheel you have and if it has LED's on it. I can not get them to work in AMS2 for some reason. ACC is fine. Just wondering if you might know how to get them working. Thanks.

Was always wary of these FFB files having gone down the Project Cars rabbit hole years ago looking for answers. However....

Laguna Seca, in the just released VRC Audi 90 GTO mod, in VR, using Open Composite/Open XR Toolkit (with its post processing to make things a little more realistic) on a Rift S, using @Danielkart latest file.

    Just wow.

Thank the lord for modders and people who give up their time to help improve the gaming experience for us all !

No I have an adapted/converted Thrustmaster wheel on it, , so no bling at all. :(

one day I’d like to get the new GT-S wheel that just come out. wheels are so pricey .

On system, project cars 2 in the 2 entries and in udp option set to 1. The sim manager has to be open.

Just tried this on my simplicity 20nm and love it , not to detailed or hyperactive .
What effect does the suspension scale that you mentioned have ?
Many thanks and good job done .

    Hi Aza

it utilises the individual spring and damper behaviour .

so it gives bump information and cornering comprehension information without the need for boosted bump scales .

It can be lest jolty because you get the natural resistance to sudden movements from the suspension damper working to stabilise the spring compression.

it’s great for feeling effects of suspension tuning .

but high values on some cars with either very stiff or very soft suspension with lots of suspension travel can have a effect of the wheel movement down a straight for example, so if one side of the suspension is compressing and the other extending due to undulations in track , you will get small left and right movements on the wheel.

some wheels will highlight this more than others .
maybe the idea range is between 0.4 - 0.7

Wheel diameter and weight will be another variable for different user’s.
that’s why it’s impossible to land on a perfect value to suit everyone .
pretty much everything can be affected by that when it come to user experience.

@Kuku Maddog Should I be using your file with a Fanatec CSL Elite+, or is it only for DD wheels? Thanks!

Where is FanaLab "too buggy"? What showstopper issues do you face with? There are no known showstopper issues of the latest version. Its extremely stable by now and updates are not "hit and miss" since a while anymore as the basis of the code is really solid now.

Good evening! Unfortunately, it is a fact that there are problems with almost every update. Check out the Fanatec forums, there is a lot written about the update issues by people. And I myself and my friends have been affected enough by it. But I hope that it will finally get better with the future updates from Fanatec

I dont find a lot of issues in the feedback thread for 1.66. Most of the issues are user errors... As said, no critical showstopper issue is known in the recent version, it's super stable and definitely not "too buggy".

As I said, I said that in the past there were very often problems. I didn't say anything about the 1.66. If there are no more problems now and also in the future, then it is also perfect for me and certainly also for all other people:)

Hey, one question: why do you use Suspension 0 in simagic alpha manager? I read the higher value more detailed ffb you get

You are able to use it no problems, there is no special requirements for any wheel bases , the main structure of all but a couple of files is fundamentally the same with all rFuktor files .
Minor tweaks may be needed to suit differences in strength and fidelity between different systems , but most should be able to get the core sense of the forces intended by the tune.

I intentionally don’t use additional filters in my software when tuning these files as I don’t want to make it dependent on a software setting that other users of other wheel base can’t replicate.
But there’s nothing stopping you from using it on top of it, if you feel it’s better. I find it just amplifies certain effects, like bumps and kerbs etc . Like it makes the peaks of the spikes sharper if you know what mean .

I have been using Fanalab for over a year now, and not one problem. Don't understand what problems you are talking about. All Fanalab updates were faultless. There have been some issues with the Fanatec Driver/Firmware updates.

That's great if you haven't had any problems with it. Unfortunately I had and I'm not the only one read about updates, drivers, or Fanalab in the Fanatec forum. I am very happy with the dd1 for 5 years but the updates or the service from Fanatec is very bad. Of course, these are my experiences in 5 years, but there are certainly many people who have no problems with it
