This dude is literally saying the same stuff I was saying, basically we know very little about all of this all we know is it isn't good for simracing. Infact, the little we do know shows that this is basically one guy who is a big supporter of MSG and everyone else not being in touch enough and going along with it. But we have to recognize how little we know, we are all outsiders to this. All we know are the effects and whatever people tell us happened behind the scenes.

If we want Indycar to listen to us we have to be fair to them in atleast understanding and acknowledging why they made those decisions. This is a big black eye for Indycar and no one is saying otherwise, but Indycar literally SPLIT two separate times. This is nothing compared to that which shows how disastrous the split truly was for American open wheel racing. Indycar has went through much worse, they'll survive this and probably do serious damage control to try and repair relationships within the next year or to.

To be fair, he's been hyping up the dev update with today's activity, so I'm guessing it's coming sooner rather than later

The difference is there is only one model of IR-18, whereas F1 is built to a ruleset but are 10 different car models, so you can make a fictional F1 car that fits the rules but isn't a real model

Not the same thing - teams own their designs in F1, no-one owns whatever generic model can be produced out of their regulations. Indycar owns the rights for the IR18, they´re protective of it due to the nature of their existing licensing agreement as is their prerogative to be.

To add further clarification, we did not receive a cease&desist from announcing the F-USA 2022, we had a previous licensing discussion from 2020 with Indycar which was discontinued due to their agreement for the official game - once they spotted the F-USA 2022 they reached us again to try find a way to have us have the car in AMS2, but ultimately it was decided against.

Okay, so here's a idea. How about building what you think the next gen hybrid indycar will look like, as we know it will have a new bodykit?

Does it mean Formula USA 2022 won't come in AMS2?

I would honestly be shocked if Monaco isn't one of the two. Some people may hate it, but it's significance to classic F1 is undeniable.

Well maybe they shouldn't have signed the exclusive deal with MSG (a failing cooperation that can't make a decent game). Maybe they realized their mistake but now they won't have any meaningful content in the largest sim racing community and the best one in AMS2.

Could Reiza stick a fan on the back of it à la the Brabham BT46B and call it the WindyCar? ;)

    Thanks. It's a bad news.
It's becoming difficult to create a sim. Do you remember problems about Argentinian championship...
