There's a scientific explanation to this: Renato & Co are working so fast they cause time dilation, so what they experience as one day is several to us.

We should all back off a bit, because as the team approach terminal velocity, they may get things done almost instantaneously, but we will never get to see the update.

Blame Einstein, not Reiza.

I'm going to assume Reiza decided they couldn't compete with the release of 1960s Greenwood for Assetto Corsa yesterday...

Another missed commitment with no communication. Very disrespectful to their player base and is no way to run a business.
A small note advising of a missed deadline would have been appropriate.
But they do have a reputation for creating hype and then going silent, so I'm not surprised at the same time.

 

I hadn't noticed the missed deadline, I was too busy racing and enjoying the game.

 

9.5. People create a list of stages listing the process of the forum even though they are part of it.

 

I am just hoping for 10-6-4-3-2-1 point system in championship, it should be easier to add than most of other features (quite difficult things like full course yellow flags).

 

Guys, get your s*** together and don't act as if the world ends when the update is not on time.

It always comes on Xmas day for me . I know this because I get yelled at for reading my phone and not listening .
So there’s no reason to expect otherwise or any different this year .

 

There are reasons deadlines are missed, if Reiza doesn't say anything people would be on their butts about "not communicating with their fans" and if they rush then it's "your game is broken" there is no winning for them. These things happen for a reason, maybe we should understand that life is weird. Employees could have emergencies, computers can crash, files can corrupt, last minute bugs can appear.

It's disrespectful to Reiza to think that they would let something potentially game breaking slip just to meat a deadline. Or that they can somehow predict an untimely computer crash or file corruption? To say that they shouldn't let their employees have actual lives with their families because sometimes that can be the cost of meeting a deadline. I trust that Reiza are better than that.

These are real people with real lives. It is the f**king holidays. Show an ounce of empathy because I would bet that the employees at Reiza are even more angry at themselves then you are at them.

 

If they said 23th I thought it's true. Am I too naive?

 

I think some people are getting "dev" update confused with "game" update, you cant have game breaking issues that prevent from writing a dev update, which is the update they mentioned on social media, there hasnt been any mention of a game update...yet at least.

 

For some reason or another I have come to think about the VR producer Pimax.
They have got a really bad reputation by announcing a lot of promisses about comming VR sets..
But because they either dont delever or if they do its ALLWAYS much much later than they have promissed.
And the result is that this way of mis-running their business does keep a lot of potiential customers away.
A qualified guess is that they could sell at least the double number of their VR kits if people began to consider them as a serious company.
A company you could trust.
But either they dont care or dont understand.
