Don’t fully know what Papyrus is, but why is this slide happening and is it close to what Rfactor 2 has?

Thank you, and I agree with not dropping a game update before Christmas. Because of bugs come about, the devs won't have proper time off.
However, if a dev update is mentioned, please either deliver on your word, or communicate in advance. Everyone wishes Reiza and Automobilista 2 every success, but sometimes these actions do the exact opposite. This is just friendly advice.
I look forward to the updates and any future dlc you guys drop. Great sim and great work by the dev team as always. I'm sure any updates will be worth the wait, but as I say, please, communicate missed deadlines better in future...it is the appropriate thing to do.

    Wishing everyone a merry Christmas.

I'm sure improvements can and will be made, but I do think Empty Box can be overly negative sometimes.

Papyrus was THE name in oval racing simulations from well, 1989 until 2003, and much of the former Papyrus staff went on to create iRacing

In fairness, drifting an Indycar at 200+ doesn't help the AMS2 "slidey" impressions, only reinforces it.

Remember to reset your setups every time you load into track, that stops this from happening...

He's not wrong. Even for road racing, the AI are always on the dirt and grass every lap, they treat it the same as the road. Kills the enjoyment for me and I hope it is considered a main priority next year. They need to stop doing that unnecessary weaving too.

Surely no setup should allow you to drift at 200+ in an Indycar? Would appear to be a core physics issue to me (armchair expert).

Nah, its a physics glitch with the tires that reloading the setup fixes for some reason

One click less of front wing and 1995 cars were ok for me at indy, and sometimes the physics bug happens

Again because your changing the setup and forcing the car to reload itself after its spawned on the track

Sonwould racing fixed setup online leave us with borked setups too, see as we can't force a setup change?

The aero balance on the F-USA cars has always felt a bit off to me, especially in oval spec. I remember the early days of the 98' cars and how it would randomly lose rear grip in high speed "should be easy flat" corners. I don't feel that tendency in the road spec anymore, but it's definitely still there in the oval spec.

All sims have physics quirks, the devs have fixed bigger issues before.
