My last Forza game was 4 back in the Xbox 360 days. That was good game. Tried Forza Horizon 5 but uninstalled it after 10 minutes driving. Many racing games are ok but AMS2 wins me over. Example being GT7. I think it is overtaking simulator. Got bored of that same every race. GT4 is my favorite still. 24 hour races was nice and put AI to drive couple of hours. :D

    @YOUNG IL YOON
Billion dollar company vs honest Brasilian company.. It's an unfair fight. One goes for the looks, and the other for the gameplay

Doesn't mean there isn't something that can be learned though, and sparks are one of those things that are probably a easy fix when they get the chance

looking forward to the new one when it eventuially releases, MSFS2020 was built on the same engine and that team brought triple screen and VR to MSFS so stands to reason we will get it in the next Forza game as well.

Wow... I thought that thread was full of hot air and arrogance...

But a PC2 car feeling better than a car that people who have driven the real thing commend in AMS2??? And the cars aren't even comparable in real life... Wow... That really takes the cake...

With that middle sector you should be thinking about high downforce cars...

Completely agree... The 98T is a blast to drive... And doesn't scream that it's wrong compared to any other version of that car I've driven... Much like anything in AMS2 for me though, it does scream in the right way for me to want more out of it...

You just can't be a Johnny Dumfries about it...

All the Spa layouts use normal downforce variants, also the 70s track. There are considerable advantages by having more usable downforce also at the 70s variant that could become rather annoying to drive on low downforce config.

I think part of the problem is how easily people are willing to hop on a hype train and go on saying "AMS 2 should do this, Rfactor 2 should do that, and don't even get me started on Iracing!" Just because something looks pretty. This is what we like about Reiza more than Turn 10 no? That instead of focusing on "audio ray tracing" and "dynamic heating" they focus on content, physics, AI and multiplayer.

Yes how real the sparks look have some level of importance, yes the exact audio levels inside the car is important, yes the amount of reverberation of sound from the walls are important. But all of those are nothing compared to what I mentioned earlier. I mean there is a reason people still play Grand Prix 4, Grand Prix Legends, F1 Challenge, etc.

Just as a general comment: This doesn't need to be necessarily true. Sometimes things aren't that easy to address without breaking other stuff etc.

I am not aware of any setting. Mine work/vibrate when there is wheel lock-up by default, but I was actually wondering how to turn the vibration off or adjust it for test purposes. No way to do it that I am aware of. I also have throttle vibrations when there is wheel spin.

An interesting video detailing an Australian Group C Ford Falcon touring car, from the Bathurst 83 era.
    I can dream, can't I?

Haha not at all. Unless inability to care less is a problem. :)
I'm definitely no 'King of AMS2', though I very much enjoy playing it.
Although I did sneak into the top 10 TT at Spa Historic 1970 (no chicane).
    I was driving a Lotus 23.

I might buy it for Xbox Series S console. Hopefully it's 60fps on that.

I had one of them, an XD Falcon with a 5.8 litre V8, 4 speed manual and a shaker sticking through the bonnet. Loved that car

If Forza Motorsport (studio) put half as much work into the car-handling / ffb / hardware support as they do into visual and audio effects, they could have the ultimate racing-sim on their hands.

No danger of it competing with top sims in terms of the driving experience but, should be immersive, even stunning to see and hear first-hand, though.
