Will we have Pit Crew in AMS 2? It would be good if there was communication with the Pits in the PCARs. Why is it so difficult to implement this in AMS2? @Renato Simioni

 

The January update was not cancelled.
It was informed updates will come on a 2-month basis from now on.

 

Believe he said big updates will arrive every other month. Hope possible bug fixes arrive the other months

The update roadmap must be very very close

 

If they open source live track or/and some other components like documentation or an api to hook the game maybe the community can try to improve some critical parts as modding.

I mean I don't know anything about the engine but, I put my hand on the fire that there are lot of possibilities to do so.

Are you asking them to cyberpunk the remaining DLC from the season pass?

Or are you afraid of them not releasing the content as part of the season pass? If it’s the second option Renato already said that everything that was promised in season pass will come for free for season pass owners as well as a Racing USA part 4 and a bonus track that weren’t originally part of the season pass. Just be patient, I bought the season pass too but I’d rather wait then getting a completely broken dlc

Uhh, but how can something be "free" if first you have to pay for it ?

 

I guess bonus content for the purchase would make more sense lol

all though it’s kinda common to see ppl saying stuff like “x game is free on the gamepass” despite we having to pay for the pass

 

Needs to be reposted every day to remind the people living in the bubble how AMS2 actually is perceived in the "real" world...

 

Actually if you really wanna bring real world to it, I do know a former Brazilian stock car driver that said some interesting stuff that reiza should fix on the stock cars

No need to go to that extreme, maybe have it pinned somewhere. And i personally don't need to be reminded because i voiced my opinion already - i don't plan on buying a single DLC piece this year until i see serious bug fixes and UI improvements made to the game.

 

To be fair, he has some good points, but he seems more bent on critizicing almost every modern racing game no matter if arcade or sim, he is way too stuck on nostalgia. You can counter most of his points rather easily, I think only Rfactor2 is beyond redemption out of all modern sims.

Comparing the development cycle of videogames from 15+ years ago to today, is not apples to apples.

 

It is greatly enjoyable, as long as you are not hit with the issues. The problem with AMS2 is that being hit with bugs is far too frequent. The issues that what you see in the video are not an exception to the rule, but almost the rule itself.

No sim is perfect, but AMS2 is quite far from being stable and reliable.

 

I watched that video twice and nope, you cannot counter any of his arguments because the broken state of many sim racing titles of our age should not be acceptable. Sure i have fun with AMS2, it is my most played sim and nearly my most played game of all ... but it is fun when it WORKS.

And so many times it just doesn't. Tthe video covers the stuff and i will add stuff like the wheel and pedals not working when joining a server at random, or random disconnects when server switches from qualifying to race, the shadow bug for night races that has been in the game for 3 years now, and then also the pitstops not changing tires bug that hopefully will be fixed soon enough ...

As a paying customer i don't have to give a single care what is the development cycle of any game (don't bother telling me how difficult it is and i should do research - i did my own game development for 2 years on a project). I also don't care about "potential". I heard AMS2 had "potential" on release day in early access ... and it took the game 2 years to reach that point where i thought now is the time to start playing.
