I'm a bit late to the party (tornado hit my home town and knocked out power for a while), but I'm loving the version of 83 Bathurst with the C3R. This version really emphasizes how insane it was turning this little road into a race track. I had to pull over at the little picnic area at the top of the mountain and just soak in the view.

The formula inter is a fascinating little car, maybe not my favorite. A surprising amount of aero for something with sub 200hp, so it requires a very different driving style compared to the F3 or Formula Trainers. This car has the aero of something that should have 2.5x the power, but I guess that's just how the series wanted.

 

It is a very strongly shaped one at least....

 

I can't see the drivers bodies/helmets not only in the formulas but for example in the Procar when using custom liveries, and the helmet of the Ultimate gen2 is acting funny in replays, any clues?

 

On a more serious note: The Mini JCW wet tyres are still not working. minimum pressure is 2.5 bar which makes it into a balloon if I can believe the handling and the telemetry screen.. Already been like this for quite some months.
Maybe hard to fix, or less priority? Just curious to a possible timeline

I’ve noticed the seat position angle up and down appears global (not per car which I like, more of a horizon adjustment).
Is there a file I can delete and then verify AMS2 to get me back to default on this setting?

 

The fast changing weather issue seems to be back in the championships. I've just attempted a Formula Inter Race at Jerez '88, date 20/3/22 with a 14:00 start, time acceleration set to x1 and real historic weather selected. The first 2 minutes were dry, but then there must have been 5 rain showers during the 15 minute race, with the track getting soaked and drying out repeatedly.

On the plus side, the formula inter is a joy to drive in wet conditions, so long as you're on the wet tyre that is!

i asked for a "reset" button for month /years in Beta forum,but did not get a true answer.
Adjust it manual as usual.I dont really know where it is merged in game.
You can try to delete your AMS2 folder under Documents (make a backup first!!)
and start from scratch.Then you should be able to put your setups back later.

 

would be nice to have though, maybe with mod support

At Bathurst 1983, along Mountain Straight, look behind the entrance to Lyon Estates … there should be a DeLorean hidden under some branches.

 

I think that's why they actually called it the "madness" engine...

 

I am looking forward to the development of Bathurst 83. There is a lot of work to do but how good are the pits and the bridge? Brilliant.

 

People playing the beta, has the Secret Rainbow Circuit, formerly known as Snetterton, been fixed?

 

Time acceleration and real weather do not work well together... You are putting 24 weather slots within that 15 minute race...

It's not a bug, but a user set up problem... Do not use time acceleration or sync the weather to the race with real historic weather or you are going to have a bad time... Unless you plan on having a 12 hour race... Then it'll be more natural..
