If Reiza one day release a Brazilian heritage racing legends DLC with half of these series you mention, I’ll be the first one to buy it! Great idea! Always dreamt of having Mil Milhas, division 4,3 and carreteras! Why not maybe a bit further back in time and recreating the old 11km Gávea circuit as well?
    That would be awesome.

That section on the left is…concerning

Oh, it IS a climb! Well, it gets very characterful at times, but it would make a fascinating circuit for the sim. Huge, huge job to build though (I’d love to have a go at modelling some of those urban areas! Wow):

Incredible landscape! Give it a bit of a tidy-up in the down-town bits, and you've pretty much got Ridge Racer, right there :D

I think a better example of this is sharable and or updated rosters in sports video games. I can't speak for Fifa or NFL but NHL games always have roster updates and in 22 they added the ability to share custom rosters. And this is EA, if it really effected the sales THAT much, why would they let people update and now even download rosters on their own game?

I so love all those South American tracks, Guapore & Ibarra my faves.

Totally looking forward to burnin' rubber on the Old Nords layout too ... Yee-Har !

Just picked up the rest of the current DLC in the Steam sale too.

Ams2 has really come such a long way over the past couple years ... Incredibly fun & immersive to drive ...

Huge Thanks to all the Dev Team at Reiza, you guys (& gals?) R.O.C.K. !!!

2k and the NBA franchises are the same... Even the draft classes can be created...

It's the same for all of the mods for F1 2014 specifically bringing that title up to date each year... Not to mention that nearly every subsequent edition has at least one reskin for the following year...

That said the other side of the argument I understand... Just look at rF2... So much of the big announcements over the past 2 years of theirs have been for tracks that were already in the sim in mod form and I had zero interest in paying for as a result...

Now that is largely because of S397 and their terrible development of rF2... If this had been AMS2 it'd be a different story as I'm more than happy to support them with a purchase of a developer version of a track I've been racing on in that sim beforehand...

I'm actually kinda disappointed to read that Reiza are even wasting their time updating the rF2 content when S397 doesn't bother to update most of their pricey DLC... And there's much to do for AMS2... But perhaps with the new CEO there's fresh hope that rF2 will survive the MSGS mess and Reiza has to fulfil their side of that agreement...

EDIT: Most of that sentiment is tied to S397s lack of updates to the DLC on that store...

Updating their rF2 stuff is some great advertisement. People seeing all these good cars & tracks. Then buy AMS 2.

Is there any resource to *create* mods for AMS2? (For instance documentation about the driveline files)

Hmmm... I just don't see it... But I guess every little bit helps...

It's a situation no different to the argument about mods taking away sales from the developers...

Why would someone buy AMS2 if rF2 is their main sim and they have the tracks they want in rF2?

And if rF2 isn't their main sim, the chances of them buying the DLC at all is much lower... As it's very much a completion DLC for the rF2 fan and not something that is on the average sim racers bucket list...

I'd actually say it's more likely that AMS2 owners buy the rF2 Reiza bundle than the other way around... Thanks to the history of the madness engine and the better MP experience in rF2...

The press that releasing the Sudschleife will gain vastly outweighs anything that rF2 pack could offer in my view... Far more people will be interested in trying out the latest version of AMS2...

Having work to do in AMS2 does not mean that people working in the dev team have always work to do. Sometimes a developer job is to do tasks of kind "A" while a project (even if it is the main one) is bottle-necked in tasks of kind "B" or "C". The best thing to do is to use the developer time in a side project. This could be the case, but it actually does not matter at all if it is. They have the right to do whatever they consider the best move :)

Also, having outdated content (wrt to the state of the art in rf2) could be seen as bad advertising. So an argument similar to yours, but even stronger is if they consider that it is not just for advertising, but it is a must...

Anyway, again, this is the kind of decision that it is obviously not our business, no matter how open they usually are telling the community what they are working on. I would love to be a reiza developer to have some kind of right to ask, but it is not the case.
