Anyone remember the WMD forums? They had a tab with all of the dev posts. I always enjoyed that part of the forum, I don't know if it's something that could be added but it was very useful to quickly stay up to date.

Actually, this is not a feedback thread. If you want to give feedback about the game, use the official release or bug threads.

For the first time ever (I think), I've seen a real buzz around AMS2 on non-Reiza forums thanks to this Indy Mod. People trying AMS2 and the mod are also commenting about enjoying the sim in general. Yes, off-topic happens on the forum all the time, but now and again, things happen because of it.

All this mod chatter....trust me, it's a good sign for AMS2, no matter where it happens.

    Removed some off-topic.
Stop bloating threads with unnecessary noise or it will lead to a warning.
    Thank you! :)

That's what the bug reports and other threads are for... To keep the feedback focussed... ;)

Because this is the nature of these threads...

That said it did seem that someone overstepped the markers that have been created by Reiza as there have been posts removed...

Indycar really needs to expand it's footprint... It's a great series that could fill stands in just about any country... I'd love to see them return to Motegi and Surfers Paradise... The Rio street track was good fun as well... But they really need to have more races outside of the states... I wonder if they could make the oval track at Mexico city work at all...

I had the idea of them making a European version, but just remembered F1 is a thing

F1 has DRS, a lot more politics and there's no spec chassis to keep things closer... Whilst Indycar is using basically the same tech that was available in the 90s... There's no comparison between the 2 series...

Although there's been a few attempts at a spec series for the European crowds, the existence of F2 kinda covers that area and it's already got a captive audience with it's connections to F1...

Indycar would be better to do a round or 2 in Europe than a fully fledged Euro series... Just imagine Indycar going to any of the tracks we miss out on because F1 wants oil money...

On an unrelated note, I hope Reiza giving away promo keys on Twitter is sign they will reopen the crownfunding campaign soon like Renato expressed thinking about doing

I've thought about it, and I'm not so sure now. After Macron's luxury watch moment on French TV, I worry that the unrestrained opulence and glamour of Knockhill might lead to accusations of elitism in the sport... maxresdefault.jpg ..

The big problem is Europe's lack of ovals. Despite people's gripes of it, it's an important part of Indycars history. That's where the ball got rolling for Indycar (and if you think about it, all of motorsports). Without the ovals in the US we wouldn't have the Indycar we know and love today.

Sadly I can't think of any European ovals that are both capable of handling an Indycar race as well as being in good enough condition to race on. Maybe Lausitzring but that's it, but considering both European and American motorsports fans constantly being at war at eachother especially about oval racing I don't see it happening any time soon.

There is an alternate universe where they still raced at Brooklands and oval racing is more respected in Europe, hopefully in that same universe circuit racing gains more traction in the US.

It really pains me how divided the motorsports community is about this stuff, because it isn't that different. Yes it's different, but it isn't night and day. And I know this because I love both for the same reasons.
