Help - Does AMS2 drivers really want to race online?

Hi,

I noticed a discrepancy in the "GT3" race for silver license, in that the series the server runs is GT4 class instead GT3 cars. Is that correct?

Great to see its gaining some real traction, forgive the pun. I’m hoping to get some racing time in the next week or so…I’ve missed it!

Need to check out the Discord too, I’m left a bit confused by Discord but if everyone’s there I’ll head over.

 

@roszman I think there is a problem in the standings page: the track logged in a race is not right, or the race logged is assigned to a wrong week# in the season.

I mean, if you look at my races (username nangu), the last M1 Procar race I did was at Buenos Aires Nº 8, but the system is registering it as Daytona Tri Oval. Also, I don't see the Buenos Aires track as an entry for any week, past or current, so seems like it was thrown in oblivion. I can assure to you I raced there but for some reason the system registered it as Daytona.

Problem it's not only the track is wrong, but fastest lap time is not for the actual displayed track serving confussion for those people who want to look at lap times for reference.

I know about issue. When the season changed on Monday the tracks selection for new season were not rotated, so we had new season but with old tracks. I've fixed this issue on Tuesday, or yesterday, so currently we have new tracks selection, but now we have bug in standings. The only way to fix the standings was to delete race results from before tracks fix, but I've decided to leave it as it is.

Just done my first race against real human drivers! Good clean race from what I saw. Was a bit fast for the competition, the pace diferential caught me out in Quali so I must apologise for ploughing into to back of someone who was braking for a corner I take near flat. Only had to deal with lapped cars in the race however you were all respectful.

I look forward to the next RCO Formula Inter Sunday cup race.

Great system/website roszman, I hope this gains in popularity...

Randomly saw this pop up on my You tube feed with a video by Pitlanes Sim Racing.

Hadn't heard of this before today.
Signed up and did some practise sessions to qualify for some races.
Just completed my first race, and everything worked perfectly. Really nice implementation of automatically adding or subtracting AI depending on number of real racers. And, the AI is balanced/adaptive in a similar way to Raceroom? to make the racing closer when a mix of AI and real players are on the server.

The website is well laid out and has info boxes for everything, although its very straightforward anyway.
Very similar to the likes of LFM, with Rookie class, going up to Alien class license.
Seems to have an ELO type rating system with pace/safety and consistency.

Definitely recommend you taking a look at this if you want some organised racing.

Possibly one of the reasons I’ve never looked in this thread is the vague title of your post?
Maybe a new thread or change the title to include RCO so people know what it’s about?

It’s easy to breeze past this post as someone complaining about the online of AMS2 rather than providing a great solution to it !

I haven't been able to try RCO yet due to changing my PC and upgrading some of my equipment (new DD wheel, LC pedals, shifter ) but have this mostly complete now so I'm really looking forward to joining in.

Very pleased for you @roszman that there was a numbers surge over the weekend after all the hard work you've been putting in on this, hopefully it grows stronger still!

 

I just signed up for RCS - I think it's excellent.
Anyway, excuse what might be a stupid question as I'm new to RCS. All races (except for one) seem to be in early afternoon. I am in GMT+2. Are event updated/added every now and then to make evening races possible? Otherwise my work will interfere with racing
